I've still yet to do the speaking assignment out of linguistic shame, which is unlike me. That's the first late assignment in the whole year. I'll do it sometime these following few days.

My family in China sent videos for Chinese New Year, honestly they don't look too happy. Glad everyone looks alright though
There were like 20 dishes for one night lol I feel so sorry for Chinese women (and men who help prepare but that's not a thing in my family)
My mom wants to go back to China one year for Chinese New Year but rn that seems impossible. For one, gotta wait until I'm older, and also, it's like a chain of school and work from what I can see. I'd like that, though, maybe, if I like my family a bit more.
One of my cousins wasn't there since he's in college now and went to his mother's side for the New Year. I'm next in line for college testing lol help

I'm really afraid I'll go back to China and say something wrong, like something offensive. I know my morals are different from basically all of my family's, lol. Obviously, since I grew up in the U.S. All of my family otherwise is in China.
I have no idea what my siblings think of LGBTQ+ and politics and the future and self worth. I'm really bold compared to some Chinese children because I don't really have the "children should be silent" idea ingrained in me. I dominate conversations entirely by impulse (if I want to, but I never know when I want to, I just act on that want) and that's just,,, rude I guess.
I also refuse to do just about anything unless I'm willing to. Highly stubborn, I am.
Idk, no one over there really knows much about me. My younger cousins don't know I exist. My older cousin has changed a lot since I first met him. My grandfather somehow got my age switched up with my female cousin, lol. He also forgets that I don't cause that much trouble every phone call.
It sounds bad, but I mostly want to go back to China for two reasons.
One is food. Chinese food is amazing. Chinese cake is amazing. Chinese games are amazing. Chinese streets are not, but I can deal with it. I never said I was back there for the streets, anyways.
Second is I want to visit some graves and sweep them. It's amazing how seemingly random people can sometimes want to do more for the decreased ones than close ones of the deceased.
I don't know where my attachment to them comes either, to be honest. But I'd like to make sure their graves are swept every year, if I can. When I grow up, I'm thinking that maybe I want to try to adopt a dog, maybe a kid if I can do that (I doubt it though), and other than career-related aspirations, I'd love to go to China every year to sweep certain graves. I'd also love to write down their stories.

The trouble with me with stories, I can remember just about everything but no names and numbers lol. I can talk about an entire portion of history without knowing who did what but knowing what they did, said, and thought.
