((NOO NOOO I FORGOT NOOO))
((Retconning... editing...))
Heaven looks to what she was carrying, which is a bit of bread, "Hey, here you go." She said, tearing a piece and offering it to the duck as if to distract it long enough for Yvonne to untie it or do something.
Offline
The duckie is full because Lianhuan and Cuthwolf stuffed it with food not very long ago. It looks at the piece, contemplating if it's worth it, but then just quacks and nuzzles into Yvonne's hair like her head hosts a nest.
Offline
(h yes Mongwau I forgot about him)
Speaking of someone who can talk to animals, Mongwau walked into the library to replace a book that he had taken for reading. His eyes widened and he silently stared at the chaos unfolded. He better get used to this sort of thing ig
Offline
Yvonne began to lift her head to bite the bread (why????) but the weight of the duck caused her head to fall onto the book once more.
Offline
Mongwau noticed Yvonne and hurried over to her, noticing her situation.
Offline
"Ohpp. The bread isn't for you." Heaven raised it from Yvonne and to the duck, with one of those slightly dead looks. As she does so, she spots Mongwau, "Hey! Mongwau! Can you help us with this? Stubborn duck."
Cuthwolf is still amazed by Jenny being 18.

"Quack!" goes the duck.
(I love how y'all are trying with human POVs while I'm here like "dUCK gO QUACKKKK")
Offline
((QUACK))
Offline
"yes, please help, I can't sit up," Yvonne half-complained to Mongwau.
Offline
Mongwau hesitated slightly, then started to talk to the duck, trying to convince it to cooperate.
Offline
The duck informs that it has found the place it is currently to be very comfortable and doesn't feel like moving, all with an indignant and flat squawk.
Offline
Mongwau looked a little frustrated, but then took a deep breath and regained his composure. He explained that, while he does understand that it must be a very comfortable spot, it's really not in the interest of all parties present, considering that if the duck remains in Yvonne's hair it might get hurt, not to mention that it's probably hurting Yvonne too.
Offline
Can't hurt Yvonne if neither of them move. ;)
That's the general meaning of the next squawk, anyways, which errs more on the "I couldn't get out even if I tried" side than what the narrator said.
Offline
"So, what's it saying?" Heaven asked.
Offline
Mongwau was about to suggest that he could help the duck get out when Heaven spoke, making him jump. His eyes darted to Heaven, then to the duck, then over to Jenny, who was still glaring at Cuthwolf on the other side of the room.
Offline
Yvonne... is kinda dozing again.
Offline
A dizzy but recovering Lianhuan is stumbling towards the entrance, coincidentally putting him within sight of any mages that may be there.
Offline
"Oh, sorry to spook you, just go on ahead and try to get the duck off." Heaven tried to support him, then looks to Lianhuan, and is quick to connect the dots, "Lianhuan, what's with you?"
Cuthwolf is just innocently smiling at Jenny.
Offline
"I'm dizzy," Lianhuan mumbles, his words a big heap of jumbledness as if he can't even register that there's a parade of ducks literally just following him.
Offline
"Yeah, I can see that." Heaven nods, "You also have a parade of ducks following you around."
Offline
Mongwau looked like he was about to say something, but stopped when Heaven turned her attention towards Lianhuan. Instead, he looked pleadingly at Jenny from across the room and jerked his head towards Yvonne.
Jenny, noticing Mongwau, inhaled sharply. She walked past Cuthwolf, giving him a (very light) cuff on the head. Probably her way of showing that she was really that mad at him and that she knew he thought it was some sort of game.
Offline
Yvonne wasn't really awake now, but she wasn't really sleeping either.
Offline
"Okay," goes Lianhuan, continuing to stumble to the entrance of the Clocktower while not even looking back to check on the parading ducks behind him.
Offline
Mongwau, trying his best not to be rude, told the duck that they were going to try and get it out of Yvonne's hair, and promised that he would do his best to find an even better place for the duck to sit.
Offline
"Hey, I'm not done with you yet! Come back here." Heaven called to Lianhuan.
"OW! Owwwwwh." Cuthwolf whined and clutched the top of his head with his hand as his ears swiveled downwards. Clearly exaggerated.

((Ik. It's like a younger sibling moment))

(ah yes I see now)

"No, I'm going to the infirmararary," Lianhuan mutters defiantly while butchering "infirmary."
The duck settles down more onto Yvonne's head, apparently expecting that it won't have to do anything.
Offline
Mongwau made a slightly defeated noise, then asked the duck to try and relax to make it easier to remove it from Yvonne's hair.
