Hitan perks up. He probably just likes answering questions too much. "No, but I was planning to mark where students sit after they choose their seats as reference."
Offline
"Is there a chance of matching up the seats students choose?" Germaine asked as a possibility. "Perhaps it's not a very practical idea."
Offline
"Matching up?" the not-P.E. teacher questions.
Offline
"Do you mean making the seating arrangements the same, or close to it, in each class?" Apollo asked.
Offline
"Exactly," she nodded. "I'm not very sure of what benefits it would give... but the idea just appeared in my mind."
Offline
"Well, if the classes are vaguely similar in composition, I doubt the students would need us to tell them to stay where they are," Hitan points out.
Offline
"Hmm, perhaps so, but it's an interesting concept." Calix said.
Offline
"Oh, true, that's a good point. I guess I didn't really think of it, did I?"
Offline
"It depends on the teacher. I don't think that's something we need to settle on permanently," Iollan offers.
Offline
Calix doesn't reply but seemed to be thinking as he put one hand under his chin and tilted his head back towards the ceiling.
Apollo gave a nod, not really knowing what to say or how to react. He hoped his nod gave the impression that he very much knew of what he was doing.
Offline
Germaine nodded. "That works nicely."
Offline
"Well!" Iollan claps his hands slightly with enthusiasm. "We've gone over introductions, student profiles, sleep mats, seating arrangements...well, it looks like we still have a bit to get through. Oh, and if you all are going to talk about learning arrangements, I think I'll step out for a bit. There was some gym equipment I've yet to move in."
Offline
"Would you like some help?" Apollo offered.
Offline
"Nah, thanks, dude. You need to work on the academics planning," Iollan jokes.
Offline
Dang, Iollan really saw through him this time, huh.
Apollo blushed in slight embarrassment.
Offline
Germaine smiled. "Don't worry, the rest of us are here to help if needed."
Offline
"Got it. I'll inform you all if I need more physical labor," Iollan says with a nod, smiling widely while turning towards the door. "Well. See you all very soon!" And with that, he heads out.
Hitan watches the other teacher head out like a puppy. "There he goes," he narrates gleefully.
Offline
"I hope he finishes his work quickly," Germaine commented. "Now, where were we? It would be nice if we finish quickly as well."
Offline
"Seating arrangements?" Hitan answers hopefully.
Offline
"Of course! I'd be up for that-- what do you think, guys?" Germaine glanced at Calix and Apollo for confirmation.
Offline
Calix gave a nod.
Apollo said, "Uh, yeah! Good idea!"
Offline
Hitan looks puzzled. "But if most of us have decided to not make a seating chart, then marking down where students choose to sit would be a matter for the official first day of school, wouldn't it? That would be opposed to us planning it here now, that is, unless I missed something." He adds, "I probably did, sorry."
Offline
"No, it's okay," Apollo reassured quickly.
Offline
"So, as a recap," mused Germaine, "we'll share and compare seatings after the first day of class. Correct?"
Offline
"We will? Is that for psychological analysis?" Hitan is genuinely confused.
Offline
Calix said, "Perhaps it can be."
Offline
"I suppose it could be... but that wasn't what I meant before, though," Germaine said with a little laugh. "Guess it doesn't make a lot of sense to compare charts. Besides, we just cleared up the point that it would not be necessary. How thoughtless of me to suggest something like that. Sorry!"
Offline
"Oh," Hitan murmurs, though the confusion has yet to dissipate. There's a ninety percent chance he's overthinking this.
Offline
"Yes, my bad," emphasized Germaine with an added nod.
Offline
"Shall we move on to a next subject, then?" Calix suggested.
