"Three... or four...? years ago? Maybe before. I don't know, I forgot exactly. And I don't have my certificate of completion at hand."

Francis looked amazed.
"That's still really cool though! You're the first person I've met that has finished school!"

"Huh, really?" Dion suddenly grinned proudly. "I also finished a kind of studies that might as well substitute college or something."

Francis went starry-eyed, having a ":0" type face.
"C-college?! Whoa! That's amazing! What kind of studies was it?"

That's where Dion blushed deeper. "I needed them to continue at my job."
He didn't specify.

(Dion is literally the cutest)
"Job? You're so smart! You must work pretty hard then, I think, to be able to do that!"

Francis: ":0")

((He was kinda bragging tbh xD))
((also yes))
He nodded. He didn't say either that he was no longer working.

"What kind of job is it?" Francis asked.

"With... tech and that stuff," he said vaguely.

"Ooh, is it fun?"

"Well, I like it. Yes."

"It's good to have a job you like," Francis nodded. "Easier to work a job you like than it is to work a job you hate! Which would be kinda obvious but ya know."
He shrugged at the end.

"Well, that's a known fact. The ideal job is one you enjoy."

"Mmhm!"
Francis checked the painting, picked it up, and carefully handed it to Dion while saying, "Here ya go, a new painting! Thank you so much for letting me paint you!"

Dion didn't grab it just yet. "When will the paint dry fully? I don't want my clothes to get stained."

"Don't worry, it's fully dry," Francis said. "Magic, ya know?"

Dion half-smiled. "Sure, whatever you say." He took it.

Francis started to organize and clean up his art supplies, putting away his paints and brushes first. He did this silently, wanting to say something but unable to come up with anything.

Dion would have left, but from curiosity he peered over to see what kind of art supplies Francis had.

A lot of supplies, actually.
He had a huge array of paint brushes that differed in multiple sizes, and he had paint tubes that contained paints of almost every colour one could think of. Sitting on the table part of his easel was a few paint holders and mixers. He as well had mechanical pencils and a ruler on him, some erasers, and a sketchbook off to the side, leaning against his bag.
In his bag that sat on the ground was even more supplies, more than possibly needed, a few small canvases sitting inside. In the bag some chalk, oil pastels, charcoal, water colour, ect could be seen.

((I envy lol))
He did feel wowed at the amount of supplies there. All the colors too.
He stared.

After a bit Francis noticed Dion staring.
"Huh? Is something wrong?" Francis asked, concerned that he might had done something. He immediately started rerunning what he had done so far while he was putting stuff away. Francis didn't realize that Dion was amazed by the art supplies.

He shook his head. "You have lots of things. Like a professional. You are a professional, right?"

"Hmm, professional? I-I don't really know if I could, uh, be considered a professional, to be honest. I make art, I sell art, that's how I get my income, I guess. I dunno, uh, I never really went to college. I don't really think my art could be, ya know, considered professional art, haha, uhm-"
Francis looked very flustered at the idea that he could be seen as a professional, and he looked a bit embarrassed when he admitted to never going to college.
"-I dunno, maybe? How would you define professional? There are a lotta different definitions, I guess."

"Google says it can be 'relating to or connected to a profession', or 'engaged in a specified activity as one's main paid occupation rather than a pastime'," came the immediate reply.

"Ah, well, maybe I can be considered one," Francis nodded, somewhat hesitantly.

A simple nod was the reply to that.

Francis continued to put his paints away.
