Okay, so idea for the SS AU we haven't been working on at all

Okay, so I was thinking about this after a post GalaxE (iirc) made about how the GS's usually became Saints at like, the age of five and how no child would understand what it would be like to take someone else's life. So, I came up with an idea:

Okay, so when a child starts showing signs of having a Cosomo:

-If they have a parent, parents, or guardian, they can be privately taught about Greek mythology/history, Cosmo, Saints, Armor, Constellations and the story behind each constellation, ect by a trained Saint/teacher from Santuary. Or, with the parent/guardians' permission, can be taken to private schools that are run by Sanctuary and specially trained people/Saints (more about the people later) to learn about that stuff and learn basic education along side it.

-If they are an orphan, they will be taken to one of the private schools run by Sanctuary

Each child has to attend to the school/have private education from a Saint until they are fourteen (no physical training other than physical education/PE), or if they started very late, then four-five years (possibly the youngest they have are four or five year olds, and the usual oldest they have is nine. It's possible for a teenager to show signs late). When they are fourteen, they have a choice to either start training to become Saints, or to train for a special job from Sanctuary that they can use their Cosmo for (more on the jobs later). As well, they will get a long explanation about the importance of knowing that if they become a Saint, then they will have to train for years, and that they will more than likely take the life of other people and that life isn't just something someone can throw away without guilt, ect.

If they choose to be a Saint, they will become an apprentice to a Saint that has been trained to become a Trainer. They will physically train (they will still be gaining proper education from their Trainer) for 5-6 years before they can compete in Sanctuary tournaments for a cloth (depends on the Trainer if they gain an extra year or not). (At the end of that, they will be around 19 or 20 years old)

After gaining their cloth, they will live with their Trainer for an extra two years of training and learning. As well, they will be trained to recognize the signs of Cosmo in other people/in children. (They will be either 21 or 22 at the end)

After they gain a cloth, they can choose to train for another six years to become a Saint Trainer (they will still be Saints themself, and will be given extra education, as well as they will still live with their Trainer for the first two years) (will be 25 or 26 at the end)

When a child turns fourteen and doesn't choose to become a Saint, they can choose other jobs in/out of Sanctuary:

-Cosmo Meditators
Cosmo Meditators are people who are trained to be able to tell what constellations a being's Cosmo aligns with and what cloths the to-be Saints should go for. They are more spiritual and can foresee possible prophecies and possible futures. They usually can sense Cosmos from up to three miles away. They teach young Saints how to recognize signs of Cosmo in people, and they can teach of how to better control Cosmo. They can be any gender. The training to become a Cosmo Meditator can take up to 8-10 years. (Will be 22 or 24 at the end)

-Teachers/Private tutors
Teachers are either non-Saints or Saint Trainers, and they teach in the Sanctuary-ran private schools or become private tutors for children who can't leave home. If they are already a Saint Trainer, they only need to take 3 years to become a teacher/tutor. If they are not a Saint, they will take 7-8 years to become a teacher. Teachers are usually very good with children. Can be any gender. (If they were already a Saint Trainer, ages can vary) (If they were not already a Saint, they will be 21 or 22 at the end).


Those are my only jobs I have ideas for atm, but I will probably come up with more later lol

I kinda wanted to reply to each part in depth but xD okay.
Lemme see.

I like the ideas in general, but I don't know if they match up with canon. That's what I'm mostly worried about xD though I wouldn't mind breaking the rules a bit.
I like the part about the trainers.
I don't know if Cosmo can be used to heal but the idea sounds interesting. Sadly, I suggest we leave it out haha.
