((Wait like Kianne explains everything at dinner or something?? What I don't remember))
However Elio's narrator is wondering where exactly Kiaane is walking. Is it to one of the entrances to the castle??
Offline
(Nope just,,, family a.k.a. awkwardness development)
Dunno. The narrator knows not the setting ^w^.

(y'all need to figure out how to communicate where they are through descriptions I'm just saying)

((oof sorry my bad))
((I would say they're currently in the castle that Aereon first revived Elio in, and now it's basically their home base. And Currently they're in the courtyard with the revival circle, but that doesn't help, does it?))
Offline
(Hmm, well, I'm not too sure about specifics, but yeah, I think they'd be wandering to the castle.)
More specifically, Kiaane's probably wandering to the kitchen/place the family cooks in search of coffee. At the same time, they subconsciously reach for their canteen, which...isn't there.
Huh. Their hand closes around empty air.
Offline
Aereon crossed her arms.
Martin was tempted to follow Kiaane, but he didn't.
Offline
Kiaane stops, their fist still clenched around where their canteen isn't. Perhaps that canteen was one of the first impressions Martin ever had of them, too, but now, they turn around slightly without it to regard the child--well, perhaps, he's now a pre-teen, no longer a child.
It's not as if Kiaan would've looked at him any different if he were younger or older. Their gaze is still the same--calm on the surface but as if with something else brewing underneath the surface, as if storm clouds nearing a horizon. But perhaps unlike what Aereon and Elio usually see of them or have ever seen of them, they take the initiative to speak about something that is not needed. No other acknowledgment to how long it has been since their last meeting. No other indication of what they may feel. Just three words:
"Are you coming?"
Offline
Elio crossed his arms as well, glancing to Aereon with a look of "So, what do you think?"
As Kianne approached the food/kitchen area, assuming if he already found it, someone was waiting there for him.

((It's fine, just pretend my post is between yours and Time's.))
Martin nodded quickly and hurried after Kiaane. Probably, the other would notice how his posture remained as stiff as it had been a few moments ago with the leaders instead of just relaxing after leaving the area.

(My visualization of that post--a walking cardboard with black hair and eyes)
Kiaane probably didn't, to be honest. They had started forward again as soon as Martin started after them.
In the other thread (because there's not really another way of specifying their encounter), both Kiaane and Martin were a handful of years younger. Presumably Kiaane was still a teenager. Now, even as an adult, they retain their leisurely yet consistent pace as they start to the kitchen.
(Going to respond to Time's post now)
Kiaane's actually efficient in finding where is where. They do go through like 2 rooms to find it, but they do find the kitchen. Their base assumption being that no one would really wait for them, they make a beeline towards where they presume the coffee is, their gaze aligned as straight as it could be towards their destination. Hopefully they don't offend that mage.

((XD))
Martin followed pretty happily, even if his smile wasn't a full-on grin. He was glad to be with Kiaane again.
He was silent. He didn't know what to say. Just being there was enough to satisfy him for the moment.
The coffee is there, but in a tightly-closed cloth bag. It still needs to be prepared.
"I say that this, while surprising, is wonderful," Aereon answered Elio after a few seconds.
Offline
((Bruh))
"It is wonderful. Yet unexpected." Elio nods, "But I'm still perplexed on how they don't look a day over 20. Or how even they got here."
The mage that ended up waiting for them was Ignas. He was leaning on the table that the ingredients for coffee sat on. He was still was eyeing Kiaane.
Offline
"I'm sure we'll figure that out in the correct time,"she replied. "Still, I do wonder." Aereon brushed her cheek with one of her gloved hands.
Martin wasn't expecting to be acknowledged by Ignas, but he offered a vague nod of greeting.
Offline
"I sometimes forget how hard it is sometimes to communicate with them." He sighed, "Of course I guess we just need to be patient for answers."
Ignas just flashed a look to Martin before returning to Kiaane.

((No I'm just somehow dumb my brain isn't working I'm currently paying attention to something else let me edit that.))

Kiaane isn't really bothered by Ignas just staring at them. They, after all, stare an awful lot themselves. They finish their beeline to the coffee ingredient table, take the bag with their left hand, and then retreat boldly. As usual, they don't offer a customary greeting. That sort of conduct has never seemed to be their cup of tea--or coffee, I guess.
They're now going for the cupboard. After that, their mental itinerary deems they must go to where the general food is stored.

Ignas spoke up to Kiaane, "So you were alive this whole time. Hm?"
Offline
They stop at an abrupt halt, considering his words. "Unsure," they admit as they turn their head around to make some sort of semblance of facing him, before turning it back around and continuing on.
Offline
"You got to just wonder around while the rest of uh had to experience death, yeah?"
Offline
"Kiaane said they aren't sure," Martin pointed out as if defending his 'friend'.
Offline
"How can they not be sure of something so blatantly obvious?" Ignas shot back.
Offline
"I am unsure," Kiaane says, the addition of the obvious subject and predicate serving as their specification for what they had said. They turn around again, their expression impenetrably stern as usual. Ignas' initial words seem to settle in within that time, for they state slowly, "You died?"
Offline
"We... all died."
Offline
"And look at this, you didn't even know what happened, did you?" Ignas throws up his arms into the air, "Is it you didn't care? That you never, for some reason, decided to return to any areas under our guild name, to see destruction?"
Offline
"Kiaane must have been busy with other things!" Martin blurted out at Ignas. "You know Kiaane is very loyal to us all!"

"And how would you know that?" He spat at Martin, "We've been dead, for who knows HOW LONG, and Kiaane here has seemed to not even lift as much as a finger to realize that we were gone! Not until they were summoned here!"
Offline
The young mage pressed his jaw tight as he replied between his teeth. "I don't know, but I want to trust that there was a good reason for that!" He threw out his arms. "So they're here now, and that's what matters! Those were the words your parents said!"
Offline
Kiaane steps towards Ignas slightly, their gaze roving between the other young man and Martin. "There are ways," they state, in as close as a way to uncertainty as they could ever manage, "to secure how long it has been since your death." It seems they don't really know what to respond to.
