Name: Mongwau
*Nickname(s): Owl (English meaning of his name btw)
*Age: 14-15
Gender: male
Pronouns: he/him
Sexuality: Straight
Species: Human mage
*Deity They Work For: Chronos and Time
Appearance: Mongwau is lanky and tall for his age, standing between 5’10 and 5’11, with a reddish-brown skin complexion and bright black eyes. On occasion his long, black, straight hair is left down, it is usually tied in two thick braids. Behind his left ear are two owl feathers.
He usually wears a longsleeved, leather-colored fringed shirt, and matching leggings. Over his shirt he wears a woven beige shawl, also with fringes at the edge. His shoes are a pair of beaded moccasins. He also wears a simple belt with various pouches on it.
Personality: Mongwau is usually quiet around most people, with a shy, awkward politeness particularly around his elders. This is in part because of his lack of knowledge in speaking English, though he is able to hear and understand it perfectly. He has a sort of child-like innocence about him, being very curious and aware of the world around him. He sees Jenny as a sort of older sister of motherly figure, usually following her around and often asking questions. He likes to spend time in the library of the clocktower reading, and usually tries to avoid Lianhuan’s shenanigans.

Weapons: He can use spears and a bow, but usually avoids fighting.
Powers: Mongwau’s type of magic is more plant based than most. He can grow many different types of plants and herbs, and can understand what most animals are saying, though not in the sense of speaking their language, rather more of a spiritual connection. He can make a variety of potions, as well as using magical herbs and plants for poultices and various other medicinal purposes. He’s not that well versed in offensive magic, but he can use levitation and teleportation spells on items (not beings).
Backstory: Mongwau grew up in a small isolated village, learning magic from his grandfather, until a freak accident caused his entire village to go up in flames. Only a few escaped, him included, comprising mostly of teens his age. Despite having lived in the same village, the others did not particularly like Mongwau, and they left him to fend for himself.
Soon after, Jenny was on an errand when she found Mongwau lying on the side of the road. Fearing the worst, Jenny woke him with a spell. To Mongwau’s surprise, she was able to speak his language, and he explained what had happened to her. Because of his weak and sickened state, she took him back to the Clocktower. As he recovered, Chronos recognized his merits and hired him on as a Clocktower mage.

being able to come up with nicknames for characters is always nice. I realize like, none of my characters have names that can develop nicknames lol. Except for like, Ignas, which can be like, Iggy or something.

Actually, no! I was decided to make a new character (or think up of a new one) for Rune. But I'll store that mage that'll chill with the others for later.

Bruh, but like nicknames that are shorter and just easier for characters to say! I'm still confused with Timeme tho.

I don't know what I do with nicknames lol. I sometimes shorten Yvonne to Yvie but idk.

Most of my characters don't have names for nicknames. Mongwau being called Owl and/or Mon is cute hehe
Oh btw his being sick and being brought to the Clocktower would be recent chronologically. He's only been at the Clocktower for about a week or so.

Yeah I'm going to say both your character and Time's would probably be because of the attack lol.
