Yes, Oblivion, they totally knew a demon was sitting on their chimney and clogging it up.
"There wasn't even fire from what we could tell. There was just an excessive amount of smoke," one protests lightly. "We thought it might've been some sort of inner system problem, and we couldn't have the time to look more into it ourselves."
Offline
"Hmmmm." Oblivion squinted and pointed an accusatory finger at the people, "I think, you might need to be punished for that."
Offline
More than one of the people there look uncertain, if not outright creeped out.
"Uhm," the first who had spoken says uncertainly, "you're joking, right, sir?"
Offline
"Nope..." one of his umbraspears lurched out of his back.
Offline
Akuma's just watching without any expression.
For a group of people, they've reacted pretty quickly. Most of them have backed up. The others, well, they at least look alert.
"Erm, please control your friend," one says to the demon, sounding slightly panicked.
Offline
Oblivion looked up to Akuma.
Offline
(Ahahaha Oblivion you short)
(Ok but like Akuma's on the shorter edge of all my adult characters. Lol.)
"Who? What's there to control?" Akuma asks with all innocence, his hands folded together in an almost civil manner.
The other looks bewildered. Glancing quickly at Oblivion, she tries to reason. "He...he has...that...thing."
"Just please leave with him," one of the cooks nearer to the back says in almost a pleading tone. "We didn't do anything wrong. Honest."
Offline
((How tall is Akuma? Or his host, that is))
"Hmmm..." Oblivion tapped his chin while in thought. "Who was the first to notice the smoke?"
Offline
(5' 10.8'' at least)
The workers at the restaurant exchange a few words with each other anxiously. One is backing up farther, away from the others.
The back is enclosed by a wooden fence, which was supposed to complete an old-home feel. Now, it just encloses and entraps them.
None of them really answer the question, though. Probably because Oblivion's holding an umbraspear.
Offline
((WELL then Oblivion not that short))
"ANSWER!!" Oblivion drives the umbraspear into the ground
Offline
(He shorter though. Time's like 5' 9'', right? That's around Oblivion's height?)
"I was!" one of the cleaning crew members exclaims, almost a shout, probably due to fear and anxiousness. She pales a bit when she realizes her outburst.
Offline
((I think... Time and Oblivion's hight have been varying from 5'8" to 5'10" but Eliza and I decided that he's 5'10". We did this to like, see the height between Time and Chronos))
"And, what did you do? Hmmm?" He questioned her, "What did you do?"
Offline
(The form update lied huh)
"I told everyone else that there was smoke after opening the windows," she squeaks.
"That's the standard procedure," one of the older cooks says severely. "So don't say that she did something incorrect, because she didn't."
Offline
((Dude so sorry about forgetting about this it just popped away, I don't have enough brain capacity to remember this stuff))
((Wait, it did?? Well let me go edit and see that.))
Oblivion quickly turns his attention to the older cook. "Why do you have to sound so mean too me?? Hm?"
Offline
((Well at least his wiki page says 5'10"))
Offline
(Nah dw, I don't even have a brain cell left so you're probably right)
"You're the one with the...the weapon out, good sir," the elder cook retorts, though he seems to be visibly keeping his temper in check. He looks at Akuma again (the demon is just vibing) before turning his attention to Oblivion again.
Offline
"But why must a weapon change how you view me?" Oblivion seemed confused, "I'll show something that truly will change how you look at me."
Offline
"No thank you," at least two of the faculty say at the same time. "We're good." One of them looks around anxiously, spurring a wave of nods and small sounds of agreement around them.
Offline
"But come on..." Oblivion whined, "It's fun!"
Offline
The two share an anxious look before shaking their heads. "Please, no thank you. Maybe you could share it with your friend elsewhere?"
Offline
"But they already know what it is!"
Offline
"Then make another surprise," one says gruffly.
"For them!" the more anxious one adds, in case Oblivion pulls another sudden mood change. "Your friend, I mean. We'll have to deal with other business soon. See, the firemen are coming." She points in the direction where sirens are approaching and blaring across the street.
Offline
"But it wouldn't exactly be as fun." He sighed, "So, again, I ask you, do you want to see a surprise? I am very sure it is very safe."
Offline
"No thank you," three people chorus.
"We're really fine," one of them emphasizes. "But thanks again."
Offline
"But what's to decline? It's fun! It's safe? What will you lose?" He puts away the umbraspear, as to further prove the point
Offline
One of the chefs shrugs. "Most of us just need to work on getting the business reopened as soon as possible. Maybe later? Or like they said, you could show your friend if you really want it to be quick."
"That's boring, though," Akuma finally says, his eyes glinting. "Come on! He said it's safe."
Offline
"Thank you!" Oblivion nods to Akuma, "Look, even my friend here is vouching that it's safe."
Offline
"'Cause he's your friend," one mutters, only to get shushed by another.
"Fine," the oldest chef says. He crosses his arms. "Swear on your honor that it'll be safe or something."
Offline
Oblivion mocking raises his right hand "I swear on my honor." He said, "Who's the best chef here?"
Offline
Akuma, probably to its gleefulness, isn't swearing anything. It's also possibly thinking something like What honor? Who knows?
One of the chefs just blinks. "That's the surprise?"
