(I see how it is)
Lianhuan dramatizes some actions, and besides, he's still carrying his own book, which is a heavy one, so yeah, hoists is the word, I think.
(Also "her" lol genderbent Lianhuan)

((oohphs let me edit that))

Stella wandered into the room, holding the two dolls that she so often played with.
Chronos, soon after, arrived as well, in search of a new book to read since she spent most of her recent days sitting around for obvious reasons.
Offline
Nagesh is basically trailing Chronos. Unaware of how comfortable she is with his presence, he's giving her some distance but is still within range to act to threats, probably fast enough to do it before they even happen.
Lianhuan, who's backing away from the table, sees Chronos. "Hi!" he greets her, waving.
Offline
Chronos should notice that the library looks a whole lot neater than the day before...
"Hi Chronos," Yvonne greets with half a handwave, also directed at Nagesh. Then she returns to petting Evanora.
Offline
Nagesh gives the pillow-summoning mage a friendly wave.

Heaven looks up and nods to Nagesh, then looked back down to the book.
"So, how has your stay at the Clocktower been? Nagesh?"
Offline
Nagesh takes a few steps in Heaven's general direction so he's not as disturbing to others as he would be capable of being, his eyes glancing around their surroundings. He does both extremely quickly, and he's able to give her his attention. "It's been satisfying. I enjoy the atmosphere of this environment," he says with a smile. "It feels like you all are close-knit."
Offline
Heaven shrugs, "If you say so. Maybe we are. It's true that the Clocktower isn't as populated as other deity domains, everyone knows everyone."
Offline
"Too many people to remember at once would have been stressful for me, personally," Nagesh admits. "I'm not very good with names...though perhaps you all could have managed it."
Offline
"I like it here, it's very chill, and it's very quiet, and we're all friends," Yvonne muttered, "...and Time and Chronos are very nice, and there's nice cats..."

Nagesh listens to her. He hasn't quite gotten used to her speaking patterns yet, so he's unsure if she's ended her phrases or if she's just trailing off into other ones.
Offline
Heaven nods, "As long as you get your work done." She said, "How is Nagesh? Chronos?"
Offline
(For some reason her asking that just gives me the idea that she's like the Human Resources manager of the Clocktower)

((oh lol you're right xD))
Chronos shrugged, and quickly looked at Nagesh. "He's pretty nice. He does his job like he's supposed to." she wrinkled her nose a bit. "Unfortunately for me, this means he's always following me." Her face brightened, though, when Stella climbed into her lap and started playing with her dolls.
By this time, Evanora is taking a nap in Yvonne's lap.
Offline
"Not always," Nagesh is quick to correct. "Besides, the consistency of my following you will likely change over time. Given," he adds with a joking smile, "I'm not fired before that?" He gives Heaven a grin.
Offline
Evanora's sleepy attitude was probably rubbing off on Yvonne, who closed her eyes and stayed quiet while the rest talked.
Offline
"Time will only fire you if you can't do your job. But not only fire you, but he'll also be outraged." Heaven looks up and closes the book she's reading, with a hint of a smile. She then looks over to Yvonne and sighed.
"I guess when even she's being more productive than usual, or trying to at least, she still can't resist taking a nap."
Offline
Nagesh gives Yvonne a curious look with no bad intent. "Does that mean we should move our conversation elsewhere, then?" he followed Heaven's second part of her sentence, not really finding immediate purpose in saying that he had no intentions of making Time angry at him, not only because Time was his employer, but also because he wanted to get his job done and done well no matter what the consequences were in the first place.
Offline
"No, don't worry. She can sleep almost through anything." Heaven walks behind Yvonne and gave a quick tap on her shoulder to see if she was already asleep, or maybe it was an attempt to wake her up.
Offline
"Maybe she hasn't slept enough," Nagesh, who hasn't been here very long, suggests. "It's fine in any case. I think the rest of us here are more than enough to do the job for a while."
"Yeah!" Lianhuan agrees. "I can help find your books!"
Nagesh gives the kiddo a grin before asking Chronos, "Well then, which books were you looking to find again, madam?"
Offline
Yvonne slowly opened her shiny eyes at Heaven's touch, but she said nothing. She's still awake though. She cuddled Evanora.
Offline
"No. I'm sure she gets more than enough, daily." Heaven tells Nagesh with a polite smile.
"Yvonne, have you completed your assignments today?" She asked.
Offline
(Now Heaven's basically a teacher. "dID YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK YVONNE")
Offline
((I mean she kinda gotta be the one looking after people while Time is doing something else))
Offline
"everything is done," she replied. "and more than that too."
Offline
Chronos shrugged. "Nothing in particular. Just something to keep me occupied." Stella slid out of Chronos's lap and raced off, probably in search of a book herself.
A boy slid quietly into the room, past Nagesh and Chronos, and started looking for a book, too. Despite not hearing him, Jenny looked up upon his entry.
Offline
"I'll duly presume then that you want to find one yourself, correct?" Nagesh confirms good-naturedly.
Offline
"Yes please," Chronos confirmed.
The boy was watching them out of the corner of his eye and he searched through the bookshelves.
Offline
Nagesh would have made an "ok" hand if he knew that existed, but he doesn't, so he just nods slightly in affirmation instead.
