The demon would say so if it could actually smell. Unfortunately for complete agreement on most any topic, it actually does rely on its host's sense of smell. And he doesn't really like the smell of smoke.
"I would say so," it says realistically instead with a concealed grin, using its free arm and hand to wave the smoke around a bit.

"A comforting smell reminds me of chaos." He said, "However, I don't know if too much chaos is going on right now."
Offline
"That's a good point," Akuma says, its hand briefly transitioning to the position it would be in as if holding a knife, possibly its variation of making a bad pun somehow, while its other hand reaches back to push the door completely closed. "So, which is first? Chaos first, food later? Or the other way around? Do you deities even have to eat?"
Offline
"Hmmm, food does taste better after chaos. I would say." He said.
Offline
"I don't remember, so I guess I'll take that as the truth," Akuma says with a wink. "Say, say, though, how do we keep the people who can cook from dying?"
Offline
"I know know, maybe just keep the ones who look like cooks." He said, "I think food after chaos is better, you can taste the fear in the food."
Offline
"What are the ones who look like cooks?" Akuma stares hard at the wall like it somehow has the answer, as if a cook would be framed there perhaps. "Are they the ones with the red noses?"
No, Akuma, those are clowns.
Offline
"I'm pretty sure they got big hats and are in white. Most of the time. I think they have lots of buttons on their suits or whatever too."
Offline
"Big white hats and a lot of white." Akuma's grinning now. Not that it wasn't before. "Sounds like someone from a lab."
Offline
"Big, cylinder, poofy, hats!" He described more

Cone...???
"Duly noted. Though, where could they be?" He took a few steps forward that were meant to be tentative.
Offline
No no not cone hats my bad cylinder hats let me edit that.
"In the kitchen. I think." He responded.
Offline
(No no Forengard chefs have cone hats. Nuuuu why'd you edit that ;( )
"Kitchen?" Akuma looks around. Spying a door, he grins. "We're coooming."
Offline
((Too bad I want cylinder, poofy hats.))
"Why not we kill some of the people outside?" he asked, "So we can have it ALL to ourselves?"
Offline
"Hmmm?" Akuma looks back at the door. "We locked the door already, though? If we kill people in plain sight, the annoying law enforcement is probably gonna come."
Offline
"Ohhh yeah you're right. That's pretty smart." He said, "Why not, let's see if they're in their little cooking hole."

Akuma stalks in the nearest most convenient direction.

Now, Oblivion was searching the restaurant's kitchen, idk why the chefs would still be in the area if the fire was going on, but I guess he still was looking.
Offline
Akuma's going to another section cheerfully.
As all chefs with logic would be like, no one is in the kitchen.
Offline
Ah. However, Oblivion has low amounts of logic.
Oblivion does a little shrug, and then quickly spins on his heels around to search for Akuma.
Offline
"Oh! Hey!" Akuma's voice goes near the back of the place. It's clearly not directed towards Oblivion, though perhaps he should go join the other.
Offline
Yep, Oblivion just did that.
Offline
Akuma doesn't visibly acknowledge Oblivion. Right now, it's too busy plastering a highly convincing smile on the chefs in the outside back, who really do not look like they expected "people" to appear from inside a burning building. Also, other than the chefs, the other people who work there are there as well, so there is quite a number there.
Offline
"Oooh. What do we have here?" Oblivion asked. Though it didn't seem either directed to Akuma or the people.
Offline
Akuma tilts his head.
"W--well," one of them says. He seems like a chef with his attire. "Hello? Uh, the inside is on fire, I guess."
Offline
"Annnddd whyy? Why is on fire?"
Offline
"Don't know," another says with a shrug. "That's why we called the fire department and why, uh, we weren't expecting you to come out from there. You know, smoke inhalation is dangerous..."
Offline
"But there must be a cause to it! Why would none of you not know?" Oblivion asks, ignoring their warning of inhaling smoke
Offline
"Because we're not experts there," she continues. "You know, we cook and clean, or do whatever we do. We don't know the properties except for fire except they burn."
"And spread," the other pipes up. "So we're staying outside for now. We'll be with you after the fire department comes, though!"
Offline
"Well..." Oblivion taps his chin, "I think a chef should at least know kitchen safety, yes? I don't think you bunch do."
