What do you mean, there's a demon up on the chimney of a classical looking restaurant in the Modern Sect? That's literally normal. What's wrong with your brain, thinking it isn't normal? That's literally the most normal any day could get. The demon's clogging up the chimney with smoke, the chimney that actually needs to be used for the fireplace, too, but so what? Heck, the fire department's showing up, but people who aren't even characters and are thus NPCs aren't special and can't see demons!

bruh npcs have rights too. join the npc rights movement
"HELLOO... HELOO!" said a voice at the bottom of the fancy restaurant, "ARE YOU THERE? HELLOO??"
Offline
Sure they have rights, but are they special? :D No.
People nearby are startled. Meanwhile, the demon just looks down nonchalantly like "what". Oh, yes, by the way, it's sitting on the chimney, and it's able to because the chimney is not very wide.
Offline
"I think I see you!" as the demon looks down it sees a figure in black waving his arms at them, "I seeee you!"
Offline
"Who is he talking to?" a not-special person mumbles to a companion, standing outside the restaurant, presumably waiting for the fire department to actually come.
The demon, who mostly goes by Akuma but can also go by another more interesting name if you asked, peers down more like "who are you". In truth, it actually recognized Oblivion ages ago, it's just seeing how he'll react.
Offline
"Just one of the greatest people out there! That's who! YOU KNOW WHO!" Oblivion called up.
He then quickly whirled around to be just inches away from the random mortal who asked, "JUSSSST NOBODY YOUR INCONVENIENT LIFE WOULD EVER KNOW." He screamed as loud as he could.
Offline
The mortal flinches away. Poor non-special dude, he'll be temporarily deaf just from that. Impressively enough though, he doesn't leave. He must be starving for a meal here or something.
Akuma watches with amusement.
Offline
"BAckkckckck UP!" He yelled to the mortal.
He then looked back up again, "Do you want me to come up? Hmm? I'll come up!" He said and started to grab on a placehold in the restaurant's wall and started to pull to climb up, "Why don't you come down? It's less effort!"
Offline
The mortal just kind of half-glares at him.
It's actually pretty hard to climb up. The only handholds are the tiny crevices between each brick.
"Boo, big lazy," the demon remarks back, still looking largely nonchalant, but it doesn't take anyone to guess that its usual demonic smile is just being suppressed at the moment and it's not actually being serious.
Offline
Yeah, it probably would be like that.
"Are you kidding?" He snorted. He decided to push himself off the wall, and pass through a portal instead, reappearing up on the roof by Akuma.
Offline
"You disagree?" Akuma asks with a small smile that seems to signify that it's pleased, watching Oblivion stumble a bit at the landing, since the roof is still sloped.
Offline
"You disagree?" Oblivion repeated, "No, I think I agree."
Offline
"Good!" it exclaims, looking as if it might pivot off the chimney in excitement. Calming down (and not moving), it says, "At least it saves time for more important affairs."
Offline
"Important? Such as?" Oblivion questioned the demon, seeming to do some weird hand motion that showed as if he was expecting Akuma to reply.
Offline
"Guess!" it says, repeating his hand motion and finally actually grinning.
Offline
"Hmmm..." Oblivion placed his hand onto his chin, seeming very, very deep in thought, "Well... since we are on the roof of a fancy fancy restaurant... Is it we're going to face a fancy fancy meal? A fancy fancy tea party?"
Offline
"Sure!!" In truth, Akuma did not expect a Corrupted Deity buddy to show up with it today, so anything interesting could be important. It does glance at the side of the chimney again though, possibly pondering if this meant it needed to stop setting the place on fire.
Offline
"Sure!!" Oblivion parroted, "Well it's time for foodies, right?"
Offline
(The fact that Oblivion reminded me of Cuthwolf in that sentence concerns me.)
"It would seem so," Akuma purrs. It finally launches itself off of the chimney, landing smoothly and easily on the slope of the roof. "Well, lead the way, please."
You know how to say please??
Offline
((Uh oh...))
"Lead the way?" He said, "Why not why not." He slid back off the roof and back onto the ground at the restaurant doorway.
Offline
Akuma looks kind of surprised, like it expected him to go through the chimney instead. But it shrugs and follows, flicking at the air.
Offline
((Oh yeah oblivion would do that my look who's narrator is incompetent.))
Oblivion waits for the demon to fall next to him, and when it does, he walks to the restaurant doors and busted it open by kicking though.
Offline
The door is made of wood. Hopefully he's wearing thick, long pants, or he probably would have just acquired a splinter. Anyways, that one door springs open with Oblivion's leg kind of in leeway.
Akuma just opens the door. Why? Well, who knows. It's not always doing something bizarre.
"Ey, stop it," a mortal tries to interfere, heading over quickly and cautiously.
Offline
"Back up I'm just having a meal I will stab you." Oblivion turned and pointed a finger at the mortal.
Offline
The mortal backs up but manages, "There's fire in there. The fire department isn't even here yet! And there's a line, too."
"Oh, there's a line, too," Akuma repeats almost in a bemused manner, even though it was very aware that there was a line.
Offline
"Why are you even waiting here if there's a fire? Hmmm?" He questioned the mortals
Offline
"For business to resume. Duh," the mortal says back, not backing up too much anymore. "It's not a huge fire. As long as the smoke clears out, it should be okay."
"Haha, mortals," the demon mutters under its breath, walking into the restaurant.
Offline
"Wow food must be that good here huh." Oblivion said as he just turned away from the Mortal as well, entering the restaurant while ignoring them.
Offline
Like the mortal says, there's a lot of smoke, courtesy of That Demon Guy (TM). In fact, they can probably barely see the tables.
Akuma does cover its mouth slightly because its host doesn't deal completely well with smoke.
Offline
Oblivion stares into the smoke and takes a deep breath, "Mmmm. Doesn't that smell good?"
