Earlier that day, Martin had been just wandering around as he had the habit of doing. Except that this time he had a vague objective in mind.
Okay, not vague. He was looking for someone.
And that someone just wasn't there.
If memory served him right, then everyone in the Guild who was useful for something had been revived. He himself was an obvious exception, Martin knew that, but it didn't matter at the moment.
He went around asking a couple people who were there. After a few complaints from their part, that they really didn't know where the person Martin was looking for was, that they were too busy, that Martin was bothering them... he nearly gave up.
But hmm... maybe asking the ones who actually revived everyone wouldn't be such a bad idea, right? The only problem now was to find either Elio or Aereon. And hope that they had a bit of time to spare to talk to him.

Well I guess by now, after wandering for a while, Elio can be seen, talking to a few other of the guilds mages outside in the courtyard of the castle by one of the crumbling walls.

After a good deal of looking around, Martin was finally able to spot his uncle. He started to make his way toward him. Maybe the other would notice him first and save Martin the effort of interrupting the conversation.
Offline
Oh, yeah. Elio did notice him, though he paid no attention to the other.

Martin continued approaching. When he gets there, he stands a little to the side, just looking at Elio and waiting for some clue to see if he should speak up or not.
Offline
Well looks like for all of them, were ignoring Martin. Maybe he needs to speak up.

((Welcome to Martin's daily life))
"Hey," he started out, a little timidly. "Excuse me, Uncle Elio... there's something I'd like to ask...?"

All of the mages and Elio turned their heads to Martin.
"What do you want? Boy? Make it quick." Elio said.

;Martin straightened (more like stiffened) before starting. "Everyone in the Guild was brought back, right?" He asked to confirm first, his eyes wandering from Elio to the other mages and back.
Offline
"...I would say. Mostly." He said, "Why do you even care?"
Offline
"I've been looking around," Martin said calmly, only to put too much emphasis on his next sentence. "And I can't find Kiaane! Did you send them out on a mission already?"
Offline
Elio sighed, "I guess you needed to know 'bout this sooner or later." He said, "The thing is Kianne couldn't be revived."
Offline
Martin's face grew anxious. "W-what? Why not? Surely you can try again, no? Kiaane is- is- they're useful to the Guild!" He gripped the sleeves of his jacket intensely while speaking.
Offline
"Yeah. We all know they're useful." Elio snorted as if it was something that every single guild member knew, "It's like... I would say, there was no soul sensed around to bring them back, as if they did not die in the first place."
Offline
"You have to do something!" He exclaimed, then looked down.
Offline
"What then? Hm?" He said, "What would we do?"
Offline
"I don't know," he confessed. "You... You know the specifics related to necromancy better. But if you really wanted them back, then you'd try again."
Martin wondered if he was being too direct or disrespectful.
Offline
"So you're saying to do something but don't have at least a suggestion to answer this problem?" Elio said, "Don't think we only tried to revive Kianne once, we've tried multiple times already."
Offline
Martin looked up again and shifted his stance a little. "I was hoping you'd have a solution," he breathed out. "Trying again wouldn't hurt."
Offline
Elio sighed, "Fine. I'll show you that it doesn't" He looked at the others, "C'mon, let's do it one more time."
He walked to the center of the courtyard, followed by the others. He looked over to Martin, expecting him to come along.
((Hey Galaxian any idea to throw in Kianne?))

Martin hurried after the group, since it was an activity that was of his interest. He kept silent, though.

Elio looked from Martin to the circle and kneeled down, placing his hands on the circle while the others around him walked to other parts and did so as well. As they fed some of the remaining souls in the circle, it started to glow a bright white again. But it wasn't so long until it started to dim, then flicker, and then fully fizz out of the spell.
Offline
Normally, a magic circle would have long faded, and in earlier attempts, it did. However, this time, it didn't fade--even if anyone took their hands away and stopped feeding it mana.

Martin frowned (in a non-negative way, if that's possible) at the sight. He stepped forward. Then he looked at Elio with a questioning look.
Offline
Oh if were doing that, then ig it did stay that way again.
Elio ignored Martin and kept his eyes on the still-glowing circles, "Well, that's interesting."
Offline
Martin bent down to touch the circle to feel it.
