(Maybe they take a field trip to the nearest magical library)

((👀 Sure, I'm up for it. Go ahead.))

Well, if Martin wasn't going to take further initiatives, Kiaane was just about finished with their training. And yes, they were just kinda going to absentmindedly wander out of the training grounds without asking Martin if he'd had any progress first.
Offline
So what could Martin do? Just run up and ask? Perhaps.
He followed Kiaane with his eyes, wondering if he could do so.
Offline
Guess they're leaving, yay.
Offline
Martin stood up quickly and pretty much scrambled after Kiaane. "H-hey!"
Offline
It takes them a moment to pause and another moment to half-turn around.
Offline
The boy rested his hands on his knees while still standing, and looked up at Kiaane.
"Where are you going? Can I go too?"
Offline
"No factors seem to prevent that." Kiaane found it curious how he was in the "I'm tired" stance when he didn't seem particularly so.
Offline
"Great! Where are you going?" He pretty much happily jumped into a straight position at the answer.
Offline
The only indicator of surprise from the boinging action was just a slight step forward on their end, somewhat awkward since they were still half-looking back. "The archive," they said, starting off again as they talked and turned their head back around in what was more suitable for walking. "The bibliotheca."
Offline
((I didn't know bibliotheca was also a word in English :0))
Martin followed with his hands behind his back.
He didn't talk, really. Even though he might have wanted to.
Offline
"Do you have trouble verbalizing?" then came the question. Supposedly even Kiaane could see Martin wasn't very silent naturally.
Offline
"Does that mean if I have trouble speaking?" He guessed, not really having seen the word before. "Well, it's better to be seen and not heard! Maybe you don't mind it if I talk?"
Offline
Kiaane could care less, honestly, but they were much less of a talker themselves and shared that saying in part, at least when the 'elders' of the family were concerned. "Yes."
Offline
((the 'elders' dksjffsdk))
"Cool! What's your name? I forgot if you told me or not."
Offline
(Aereon's like Kiaane's grandmother)
"I am Kiaan," they said, then said, for their second name: "I am Kiaane."
Huh, the two names have different pronunciations, huh.
Offline
He bobbed his head as an answer. "And you're very powerful too!"
Offline
They don't see the connection between their name and their abilities, but they say, "I am not."
Offline
((dw, I can't see the connection either.))
"Do you always train by yourself?"
Offline
The narrator ponders that question. Do they? While it would make sense for them to not always train with only themselves, other family members don't pay them that much heed and they do consider their own abilities to be dangerous.
"Yes," they said.
Offline
"Oh," he said. "I've been to the archive once, but I couldn't stay long. Sometimes it's fun to read. But sometimes I get bored. But it's necessary. Do you like to read?"
Offline
"Necessary?" they echo instead of answering the question. Seems like they have a habit of only answering the first question or the question they deem the most important.
Offline
"Yeah, it is! I think it is. But not always. Sometimes I just like to go off and do something else. For example, I can build little houses with sticks! And they don't fall. I'm a master of the sticks," he proclaimed proudly.
Offline
Well, to say Kiaane is impressed would be exaggerating by who knows how much, but they're probably expressing more interest than most others by just remaining in the conversation somewhat. "I see. Constructs magic?"
Yeah, uh, that's their idea of a conversation.
Offline
Martin cocked his head to the side. "What does that mean?"
Offline
Kiaane isn't in the mood for depleting mana for an example--they never are--but they do make some sort of vague gesture with their hands.
Offline
Martin shrugged.
Offline
Well, it seems Kiaane just walked straight past the Thaohals' bibliotheca.
Offline
"Hey hey, isn't it supposed to be over there?"
