The man doesn't bother to hide the fact he enjoys bothering her in any way possible. But he just started off in a sprint down the sidewalk, body and all.

If he was expecting Germaine to follow, then he guessed right. She didn't take more than a second to run after him.

She was more focused on chasing him down than anything else. She wouldn't know at first glance what he was running after, if there even was something in the first place.

Being pretty responsible, Germaine looks to both sides of the street to see if it was safe to run as well or not.

Re: [@Specter] You asked for this.

Nope, it's not! A huge series of cars running too fast just blared by as soon as he crossed it. Mind you, it's the middle of a street, without crosswalks.

Re: [@Specter] You asked for this.

It's a long way, and when she does get past, the young man is nowhere in sight. Now, this could mean several things, but it depends on what Germaine thinks.

Frowning, she moved her eyes around, wondering in what direction the other could've gone.
She's not carrying the child's head in her arms by the way. It's probably safe somewhere else.

Re: [@Specter] You asked for this.

No, she actually placed it somewhere else.

Germaine didn't want to stop her 'chase' just like that. She started off to a side, hoping she was going the right way.
Since the other man wasn't a regular human, would that justify the use of magic? Perhaps, but maybe not. In any case, she thought up a small spell that should tell her where the young man was/had gone.

(She thought it up xD that's not the same as casting iirc but ok)
It appears he's still somewhere nearby. Where? Hard to tell. The spell can only tell her he's in the vicinity.

Re: [@Specter] You asked for this.

Across the street, which is where she is now, is the last remaining neighborhood before the town/city place came into a more dominant position in the overall view. It's not a small neighborhood, but it's one with multiple places of distinction and overall indications of inequality. Two parts are prominent--the wealthier side, and the poorer side.

Re: [@Specter] You asked for this.

Germaine adjusted her coat while she looked around, still going on. Some thoughts about the place probably crossed  her mind. Well, she couldn't take long. She tried locating the other man once again. Or at least see if she was getting closer.

Re: [@Specter] You asked for this.

There's not much else the magic can give her. The man, not really being a man, likely has natural interferences that mess with magical tracking. In fact, it's quite possible that it allowed this much information to her in the first place, playing what it thinks to be a fun version of Hide-and-Seek. In either case, it's not visible to her at the moment.

:'D.
No one's really around, either. Most people aren't even home, though a woman and a very young child are out having a walk to the nearby miniscule park.
