"That fairly well sums it up!" The man is as chipper as he ever was, and the skin on the ground simply dissolves into nothing. How considerate of it. "It's been ages since I've spoken to someone so long-lived. Exactly how long have you been alive for? Are you a god or just plain immortal? Is this your domain? How did you get to be immortal?" And so on.

He continues talking animatedly as Echo approaches him.

"Is your friend over there the same? How did you two meet?" etc. etc. etc. He's getting a bit caught up in his own excitement.

 

The man nods. He then realizes what was said a couple sentences ago. "Wait, millennia?" He looks at Echo inquisitively. "You wouldn't happen to be immortal, would you?"

He looks over at Echo and smiles. "I already have! You have a wonderful library here." He strolls over carrying his stack of books. "How long have you been in business?"

...at this point, that could be considered a pun of his own. 

On his part, Iollan doesn't seem bothered by the guy darting to and back from places at a strangely fast pace. He just returns his hand and arm to his side, though his gaze does follow the way the deity goes.  It's hard to tell how someone can look so cheerful but mildly concerned at the same time.

 
The small man laughs out loud at that one. "Winging it! Because of the-!" He allows himself a few more chuckles before he composes himself. His laugh is a friendly, happy one. "Yes, I suppose you could say that I am winging it. I'm not particularly one who plans things out."

He chooses a few more books, taking care to grab a nice variety. "I find that things tend to be much more enjoyable the less I know about them in advance. What about you, friend? Was this your intended destination or just a happy accident?"

As the group within the library continues talking, a small, peculiarly clothed man approaches the entrance to the library and knocks on the doorframe. 

"Hello? Are you open?" He calls out, stepping in slightly. "I had heard conversation and seen those young men walk in, so I presumed you were, but one should never judge a book by its cover, of course."

He stops for a moment and realizes what he just said, chuckling a bit at his own joke. "Library, book, cover. Ha!"

Powers/Abilities: Shapeshifting, which by itself leads to a number of powers depending on how he uses it. However, most of these other abilities have limits. He can’t just shift into another god and gain all their powers, but he could shift his eyes in order to give himself night vision, or alter his hands to gain claws, or even shift parts of his body into different elements. Not indestructible by any means, and very often will avoid making parts of his body more durable unless he absolutely has to, because it impedes his regeneration. Can infinitely regenerate, but the rate of regeneration is affected depending on his form at the time. The more fluid he is, the faster it happens. Minor healing and stamina restoration, which pairs up with another of his abilities, limited omniprescence. Can sense if a traveler is struggling on their journey, and can manifest before them as an unseen presence, heal their minor injuries, and restore their stamina, walking with them until they reach their destination. He’s able to be with multiple travelers at the same time, but that’s the extent of his omniprescence.
