Re: Galaxian's Roleplaying Thread {Version Omega}

One of the most annoying things about my "creativity" is that literally everything comes in segments. So much work is put on connecting the segments. Otherwise the parts I initially envisioned are literally so, so detailed and so satisfying to have been thought about.
For instance, how Galaxian and Akuma met took me 2 hours to write out the details I'd thought of, not just write out the actual experience. No. The envisioned details took 2 hours of me typing with no end.
But as with any excerpt I actually write out, there will be parts where I struggle with connecting which are actually the easier/more basic parts to write. It's annoying as heck and I can't seem to train my mind to do the connecting well either.

On a more positive note, though, I now know the gist of how Galaxian and Hitan met.

Re: Galaxian's Roleplaying Thread {Version Omega}

I love first meetings too much for some reason. Which makes me think about debuts and then cringe about Galaxian's debut in GGaD lol.
I'm glad Hitan and Rai never got an official introduction lol I would've screwed up so badly.
I feel like Kaori's was okay though. Listing this here so future me can laugh.

Re: Galaxian's Roleplaying Thread {Version Omega}

I love first meetings, but I also love everything that makes up a relationship. I'm obsessed with synthesizing everything and analyzing it to make sure that it fits and actually makes sense.
Meanwhile, also related to first meetings, I like some degree of spontaneity, but other than in the forums setting, it doesn't make sense for all of my characters to know each other. That'd be a stupid move on my part. So I try to see what spontaneity makes sense in terms of them being in the same place at the same time without a counteracting purpose on either side, and then add it together with connecting elements and stuff.
Obviously I can't control that from other RPers' characters' view. So that's extremely spontaneous and makes almost no sense. But that's fun too! I understand that. I wouldn't understand that for relationships between my own characters, though, which is why they're a bit more complicated in terms of coordinating their relationships.

Re: Galaxian's Roleplaying Thread {Version Omega}

This is happening while I haven't drawn Kenshin (like, other than on Skribbl.io) in 2 years and Time in half a year
Why
It's not like they look alike because they once both had black hair and at least one "black" eye

Re: Galaxian's Roleplaying Thread {Version Omega}

Because she doesn't look like Akame and I think Fallon and Rune were wrong.
I know there might be stylistic differences, but imo the similarities really do not exist in abundance. I bet if Specter drew Akame in their style it wouldn't look like Fallon. Iirc the infobox picture for Fallon is drawn by Specter, which is why I say that.
In 2019 I drew both Akame and Fallon on the same day and they didn't look alike, too. Now, I know I was even more horrible at drawing back then, but I think it goes to illustrate something at least.
I'm not sure if Fallon and Rune would still say that Fallon looks like Akame, but in any case, I disagree with their past perception lol

Re: Galaxian's Roleplaying Thread {Version Omega}

Adding onto that, the reason why I stressed that Fallon would have to be the one to draw GGaD!Fallon is because obviously she's supposed to have the last word on how a character looks; no matter who draws Fallon otherwise, it'll likely be only partially accurate.
So if she draws Fallon and she truly looks like Akame, then I'll concede my claim to be incorrect. The thing is, she hasn't shown any art of Fallon where her face and hair are clearly there, so based on what I currently see--Rinmaru dollmaker images and art from Specter and me (well, tbh I didn't look at my art, but I do remember what it looked like and the Fallon there did not look like Akame)--I think Fallon doesn't look like Akame.

Re: Galaxian's Roleplaying Thread {Version Omega}

I've drawn Akame and I can confirm that (at least from my point of view) she does not look like Fallon.
Uh besides what are the similarities? That they have the same hair color and are assassins?

Re: Galaxian's Roleplaying Thread {Version Omega}

They're both female? I dunno, I've tried to think of similarities. I guess they both wear black too. And use Japanese weapons (katana for Akame, various different weapons for Fallon). They both have long hair too...
But the thing is, other than the female part (lol) Galaxian also has a bunch of those similarities. Well, other than not being an authentic assassin, he also has long black hair. And wears black. And can use the weapons Fallon uses, like the kunai and katana and stuff.

Fun fact: Tbh when I saw Akame the first time in 2018 I thought I accidentally stole her design or something. Yeah, I know, I worried about (and worry about) ridiculous things xD.

Re: Galaxian's Roleplaying Thread {Version Omega}

To be honest I kinda headcanon that Fallon's eyes are completely different from Akame's. Like, Akame's eyes are very large. I just don't think eyes of that size would fit Fallon well. Again, I know it's due to style potentially, but that's just one difference, I think.

Imagine if that someone actually changed for the better
Would that be fair? Or unfair?
