(HAHA!  Leonidas is a rather common name...at least in history.  Everyone calls him Leon or Leo if you want.  And why don't you ask him about he knows about Genesis.)

"Ah, and before I forget, it would be very nice if you whispered my name if you needed me.  I've got my reasons, just uh, please do that one thing for me." Leon's voice said from the room.

"You're in the Castle of Ash.  This place was created by my power.  Anyone who enters here has their thoughts and intents read.  That's how you're able to get around Aestus.  This was mentioned to you before was it not?  Granted my power only goes into the domain of these walls, it's still a useful item to have." Leon said, oddly in a matter-of-fact way.  

Smartass he is..

"Don't worry too much, I only do it when you walk into the entrance.  And it's only the time period from when you left and came back." Leon said, his voice sounded a bit happier.  "Sometimes its in the best interest of a certain party to keep their ace in the hand and not on the field. Now please, you have somewhere to be I presume?  Well then, get along!" he urged.  

"Who is it?  What do you want?" Aster's voice came from behind the door.  

The door cracked open and a pair of questioning eyes looked through it.  "Who and why would anyone send you to me about something I don't know about.  That doesn't make any sense.  And what makes you think I could even help you?" Aster's gaze followed to Caligo then back to Aestus, whom he rolled his eyes at.  

Aster paused for a moment and sighed.  "That girl, I swear...I'm not some damn doctor!  I'm a man of science not biology!" he grumbled before closing the door and unlocking it.  "You can come in, but please shut the door behind you."

The room wasn't anything too special.  If anything it looked like a normal hospital room, compared to the ashen-lit main hall they came from, these walls were a rather dull white and covered in papers relating to medical know-how and scrabbled together notes.  In the far right corner of the room a medical bed laid and was empty.  Some medical papers were laying on it, but otherwise it was rather clean.  Asters desk was to the left of the entrance, stacks of books, papers and notes were scattered haphazardly as well as the floor too.  The only clean area over this desk was his computer, which had a medical doc, that if a certain person were to look at, without drawing the attention to Aster, it would easily read (or partially say)...

The report stops before you can even read the rest.  If Caligo can do so without Aster knowing. 

Two small chairs sat across from the bed.  Aster got up from his chair and computer and dusted them off and moved the medicinal papers and such off the bed too and set them on the floor.  The man himself wasn't horribly informal.  In fact, he was dressed rather professionally.  His long white coat was partially burned and tattered, but other than that, his button-down, tie, pants and even shoes, were in remarkably good condition.  Aster's grey eyes peeked from beyond his glasses at he looked at the two and crossed his arms.  His hair was short, dotted with small bits of white here and there.  Age clearly gotten to him, for better or worse really.  But he looked like a human as far as these two could tell.  

"You're not the first one to be an experiment child.  Calm down, I'm not going to hurt you unless it's for a damn good reason." Aster said to Caligo, taking his hand and sitting him on the medical bed.  "As you two know, my name is Aster, Aster Korusagi.  I am NOT a doctor, but I have practiced advanced medical studies.  So in a technicality, I am one.  But not in practice most of the time.  But rest assured I know what I'm doing".  Aster took Aestus' hand and helped her sit in one of the chairs.  "I'll have to make an exception to this rule if Miki sent you here...troublesome girl she is.  So, what are you two here for anyways?"

(Ehehe lore dump with no context pt. 2) 

"And just how long have you been wearing said braces?  Considering you're wearing them all over your body...I can guess easily." Aster said, walking over to his desk and picking up a notepad and writing in it.  

Aster bashed his head with his notebook.  "Did you ever think to yourself that wearing them is to help the healing process?  Not take away pain?  Braces are mostly used to keep a bone in place to heal.  Wearing them like a fashion statement as you have done is only making your problems worse.  Part of your pain is coming from wearing them so much that your muscles aren't strong enough to lift your weight anymore.  No cream or bracer is going to make this problem better.  I would try to treat it, but the way it is, you're getting nowhere fast.  The only thing that could come close to a treatment is contacting Maru, she's a odd healer, but she works wonders.  She heals by breaking the body.  Sounds weird, I know, but it's an option available, otherwise, maybe a ice bath or heat pads to relieve the pain every here and there.  And if you ask me to treat your skin, I am throwing a book at you.  It's not causing you any problems, and it's not cancerous, nor is it ugly to look at.  Get over it and stop bitching.  Anything else you want me to look at Mr. Caligo?" Aster finished and jot down all he reported on his notepad.

(That depends on the type of braces used.  The reason I said bone is because Cal companied about joint pain basically.  And if you can bend your arm backwards without fail, I'm pretty sure that's a broken bone.  However, that can be retconned for Aster if otherwise.)

"I've got to address my patients somehow, it's a formality that any doctor and scientist would do.  If you've a problem,  I suggest you tell me.  And when most people have vitiligo, they would want something done about it.  Oh, and good luck trying to find Maru, she's been missing for nearly 87 years last time I checked.  So who knows where she is anymore."

(THAT'S THE WORD I WAS TRYING TO THINKG OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF JOINTS!)

"Mx?  You use a unit of measurement as a name?  That's...rather odd.  I'll just use your names then.  Caligo, take the braces off and only use them when you really need to.  They aren't meant for this type of strain.  If anything you need to learn to control yourself when moving.  Don't try to be a contortionist.  I can't help your condition for your joints, but I can use some Runes to ease the pain for now." Aster paused at the mention of "Genesis".  

"Genesis?  You mean the Engine or your world?  Either way, why mention a war torn world?" 

(That's how he's supposed to be.  One hell of an annoying smartass.  Glad his personality is getting a gold ticket.)

"That can depend on the person trying to humor you a bit.  I'm just trying to lighten the mood.  Perhaps humor isn't my things anymore.  Cor used to love it...granted that was ages ago it seems.  And as for our world, I dare not ask what happened to it, but I will say, everything has it's end.  War will eventually die of and peace will reign.  The hardest part is the wait...  " Aster paused for a minute and turned to Aestus  

"Oh, and Aestus, I said first and foremost I'm a scientist did I not?  Biological help isn't my forte.  But maybe Caligo doesn't need medicine." Aster wrote something down in his notes and gleefully smiled.  "If he has mobility issues, I COULD do either of two things.  I could create some Runes to take strain and make his body lighter OR I could make a sort of exoskeleton to help ease the pain.  Whichever would be easier."

(Hey, someone has the be the asshole in this story, and Aster is only one of them) 

"I can make either/or honestly.  So if you change your mind, it's not too much of a problem.  However, I am going to have to take a few measurements to make sure I get things right.  And if all goes well and Shard is willing to help me, everything should be done within a week or two...maybe.  Shard isn't exactly the best of people to work with...at least for me.  But if that's all you need, I assume Aestus' would like to be examined?"

"What's your issue then?  I'm sure I can figure something out."
