Kiaane doesn't really do that. Usually they're the one being ordered around, or they don't have to order anyone around at all. They make some vague gestures at the shelf. "Set up the books," they say with an equally vague tone of voice, "like..." they look at the prior row. "Like that." They point to it slightly with their right hand.
Offline
Martin hurried over to a new row. He pushed a whole stack of books hastily so they were straight.
And a second later they toppled to the other side.
Offline
Kiaane isn't angry or anything. In fact, meticulousness in organizing books or anything they have their mind set upon has always come so easily to them that they're perplexed.
Offline
Martin may be good at some things, but organization doesn't seem to be one of them.
He tries again, pushing the books back to the other side. They fall once more.
He frowned a little, as he now noticed he'd have to arrange them one by one.
Offline
Kiaane also isn't very fond of their books falling, but at least they're not angry. Having paused their own activities for the moment, they're just watching.
Offline
Martin notices not. His focus is exclusively on the books, since he just grabbed one to straighten it as slowly and carefully as he can. Then another one. Ans another one.
While they weren't as organized as Kiaane's rows, they're not badly arranged.
Offline
Kiaane doesn't give praise, but they've resumed their own organization activities, more or less.
Offline
((10/10 best relationship))
Martin remained focused on the books.
Offline
The fact that Kiaane went back to their activities is the closest form of praise they'll give without further cause.
(Timeskip? idk what to do further in this particular section)
Offline
((Sure, sounds good!))
Offline
Kiaane hasn't come here to organize all the shelves. After a weirdly shaped section is done with, they just amble on to another section. That goes on for a bit, and so now they're somewhere in the deeper parts of the bibliotheca. It wasn't a huge place anyways.
Offline
Martin followed as well as he could, ocassionally peeking at the books he couldn't really understand. But he didn't want to get left behind. He made sure the cricket was comfortable.
Offline
The shelves have parted slightly, the space in between them vaster than before. It seems the bibliotheca has another section than just books.
Offline
Oh, the cricket is chirping. It feels fine.
Offline
Martin had been trying to not mess with anything in the place. So, he wasn't really touching anything.
Offline
At some point, Martin's gaze does skim across some letters he might be able to understand on one of the book spines.
Offline
He stopped walking around to peer at the book. Curiosity.
Offline
Well, well, it's a fairy tale, unlike any other genre that really seems to be in this place. It's still not completely comprehensible to him, but Martin can probably see the "T"s and the "B"s and interpret them correctly.
Offline
Martin tilted his head and was tempted to pick up the book. He looked up to see if Kiaane was close enough to answer a question.
Offline
Not really.
The cover of the book seems to have gold lettering upon it, the consistency for it. Otherwise, the cover and back is a red and the spine is a dark green, the color of a lush green dark wood forest.
Offline
It's an attractive book for Martin.
He decided to pick it up and open it.
Offline
Some of the letters are still not as recognizable, but as the font is a plainer one, he can perhaps read some of it.
Offline
Well, what does it say? He's trying to read it.
Offline
The first page starts off with what seems like "ON E U ON E."
Offline
Martin hasn't read many fairy tales, surprisingly, so he can't quite fill in the blanks.
Offline
No matter what, there's a worn out picture on the second page with a man and a beastly monster.
Offline
His gaze was caught by the picture, which was examined thoroughly with interest.
Offline
The narrator isn't gonna narrate more about the picture, so the picture is just the picture. Somewhat worn out, but enough to convey gloomy and spooky vibes.
Offline
Martin stared at it for a few more seconds and then flipped the page.
Offline
The next page doesn't have any pictures, but the font's still the same.
