I did forget to ask you though, was there a reason why Mr. I. was such a jerk to his daughter? Was there more background on that? I might've forgotten that too lol

Okay I cannot find what I typed the other day and, again, this entire thing kinda depends on Whyatt's characterization, but anyways yeah here's the gist of what I put in

After their meeting, Hitan found out somehow that Helen was not in a very good place. How? I dunno. This is a point I kinda need help figuring out because he kinda sassed Mr. I. or smthn iirc so I'm guessing Mr. I. would not be so kind as to offer Hitan a place to stay (:-P). I guess Hitan might've stayed a little while out of concern for Helen, like maybe he was concerned the bullies would be at it again as soon as he left the village. So by putting the focus on her here, it might work. idk. 
Anyways, he found out that she wasn't in a good place, and he was a little nosy back then. Little nosy child xD. So he probably tried to find a place in the village she could stay. This took too long and then bad things happened. Namely, all places but one that Hitan has been to throughout his whole lifetime (leading up to the time we're talking about) would be destroyed at some point. Not sure what the specifics are for the village, but generally there was a lot of animosity against Helen and Hitan was having a super hard time trying to find a family that she could stay with otherwise in the village. So Helen's village basically got destroyed, I'm guessing, uh huh. Not sure what happened to the people inside them including Mr. I.; can't say I'm very sympathetic lol
Somehow due to planning (yay!) Hitan probably got to get Helen out of whatever happened to her village and they took off. Now here's a huge timeskip (iirc they met before they were 10) but around 6 or 7 years later (when Hitan was around 14 or 15 chronologically), more things happen. I dunno what happens in the timeskip but imo it's interesting xD. What I do know is that all this time, Hh is traveling together and Hitan's primary goal is to try to get Helen a home. They do not have good success in this area, but the thing is, Hitan's luck is actually okay at this time, so he doesn't actually leave a trail of flames wherever he goes. He also doesn't want Helen to know that her village being destroyed was basically his doing, but that's Hitan's characterization xD. Anyways, back to the primary goal, I'm guessing that at this time, they meet Whyatt.

Back to your inactivity and me procrastinating I see

Whyatt was not known to be an assassin at the time to Hitan, and back then, Hitan didn't actually know how to fight or use his abilities well, so he couldn't really see through Whyatt per se. I don't know how they met, but I think Whyatt developed a crush on Helen and Hitan could see that. Unfortunately, because of his understanding that Helen would probably be hurt if he continued to let her stay with himself and his goal of getting her somewhere permanent and safe in the first place, he basically forced his feelings towards her down so that she could be in a safer place. With Whyatt, yes. (I don't know if Whyatt's 26 now, but if so then he's around 4 years older than Hitan. Hitan was probably 14 at the time, so Whyatt was 17.)
And then crap went down. Turns out Whyatt's working for a guy who likes killing demigods, and guess who Helen was? A demigod. Unfortunately, that probably wasn't the only reason why Whyatt was ordered to kill the very nice girl, anyways.
But anyhow...everything kinda went downhill. For Hitan at least, anyways.
Somehow having found out the truth about Whyatt's identity (as an assassin, but not specifically whom he worked for) via some kind of betrayal, Hitan and Helen were forced to flee. That was fine. I mean, it's not like Hitan and Helen weren't used to running, right? Well, the worst case scenario would be that they were forced to fight, but even that wasn't too bad. Hmm, well, not unless suddenly there's a strange undead legion of assassins suddenly after you, and even that's fine. Well, as fine as it can get, anyhow. But then suddenly a guy comes out, a crazy red-haired guy who also happens to be a deity who likes to kill demigods and for some reason is fixated on you two, and everything gets a whole lot less fine. But even so it's not too bad. I mean, it's not the worst. But still, it looks pretty bad to ya, so you (Hitan) tell Helen to run as fast as she can and that you'll catch up to her when you can.
...but that's not the worst part. It's no longer about Whyatt, though, so I'll cut it off here for now.
