It might have to do with just how the Servants are summoned? If they can't be seen. Or maybe it has to do with the magical system. Also, a Church-like entity, whatever it is in the AU, can help regulate too. But I'd like for the Servants to probably have more of a barrier to them so that it's even less likely that there are bystanders.
Just realized, I don't think Sollux is even allowed to witness the War, since she's a bystander. So not killing bystanders is a very good thing

I'm not really sure about the bystanders rule tbh. I dunno why Shirou was killed but Maiya could help Kiritsugu. Was it because she was also involved with the war? I don't know.

Yvonne: oh hey you're back early. the battle finished?
Kiaane, refilling coffee and downing it in one gulp before refilling again, and only then do they respond: We are on coffee break

Yvonne: what

Maybe the Servants have some kind of presence that passively drives away innocent bystanders if there's an intent for battle? I don't think it would be best if Servants can't be seen, because there's a possibility they might interact or something (or also imagine someone seeing a Master talking to the air).
I don't know what the equivalent of the Church here would be (maybe it is a somewhat religious faction? considering deities and all, idk) but I do think it would be good if they were involved. Because, well, someone's gotta repair the damage anyways.
I also wonder what happened to all the people who saw Caster's monster in F/Zero...
Poor Sollux lol, she's gonna try anyways.
Actually she shouldn't. But she's like that.
Yvonne trying to remember if Holy Grail Wars have a coffee break rule

Maybe we should leave it up to the Masters lol. None of them (yes, including Ambryll) seem to have the intent of starting a fight in the middle of a crowd. I'm guessing in a crowd, the Servants are in Spirit Form anyways, so most of their fights will be planned. And if Servants are out and about, they can just be in casual wear, so that isn't an issue. But I meant, like, during battle mode, maybe they can't be seen, idk.
I mean, I always wondered that. Didn't seem like anyone cared, tbh.

Imagine someone seeing a Servant in their standard clothing and being "huh I wonder who they're cosplaying." Lol idk, I would think that.
Well, I thought that it could be the reason that people around just aren't in the area during a battle. Because like not seeing the Servants but seeing the damages they cause and things like that? I don't know, maybe we don't need to define this exactly, since I don't think we're going to be starting fights with NPCs around.

I feel like I'd be that stupid kid to approach Gilles de Rais and ask who he's imitating
I'm personally appealed by the Masters needing to plan where battles are going and withdrawing Servants if the Servants lol Berserker tries to start a fight in a place where they can be witnessed; maybe there's a Rule that mandates that battle comes after making sure no one who isn't a participating mage learns of the ritual and/or interferes with it, so if a fight is breaking out but the Masters find out that there are potential bystanders, they have to put priority on relocating the bystanders or relocating the Servants elsewhere first.

NO o.o
I think it sounds interesting! Maybe... a little bit of an extra challenge? I guess most of the time the Masters try to find a deserted place, though.
Offline
Probably. But I think it kinda ties in with how the Heroic Spirits are truly heroic in this universe--so the Masters have to at least not commit war crimes on civilians
As with F/Z, the War can be delayed if a significant disturbance happens. Like, if Caster were in this universe and tried to pull off the stunt he tried in F/Z, the Servants here would also do a ceasefire, correct?

And also it's like, it's a purer Holy Grail War than the canon ones.
Yes, definitely.

Okay, cool.
So for the city, which may or may not be in an urban or suburban area, we have a city park and a forest. Maybe the forest connects to the city park somehow? It's not in the city park, though, I think. Seems a bit hasty for repairs if so.
-Galaxian-
Offline
So it's kinda like the park extends all the way into the forest but there's a place where you can clearly see it ends?
Offline
The park has an end way before it extends to the forest, maybe the woods that extend to the forest are protected because they're rare species
-Galaxian-
Offline
Maybe
I'd feel bad if the rare species got damaged or destroyed

Haha, Sunny would also feel bad

Not to mention Caster lol

Maybe people just don't go into the forest most of the time idk
Offline
Well, note I said the woods were protected, not necessarily the forest. And the woods in the national park is probably the part most protected. The national park's boundaries were probably drawn so that there is more enforcement, so that people don't go around plucking out rare plants. And so that dead people's spirits can't go around flipping the Earth with the rare plant species in it upside down

Lol how would each Heroic Spirit react to getting a speed ticket
-Galaxian-
Offline
The probs Caster would keep battles out of the protected area. Like, lol, he might even protect it further if there's a way.
A speed ticket? Hmm
Lancer would immediately apologize, promise it won't happen again, and pay her fine right away.
Assassin would probably try to convince whoever's giving her the ticket that they didn't check her speed well and then complain, but in the end she'd accept and drive away veeeery slowly. Tbh she might try a little to annoy the policeman who stopped her.
Caster just would say "okay" and go on, but he'd watch his speed closely from that time on.

Police officers: Sir you're trespassing
Caster, on top of a (common) tree: You're doing it wrong. You're trampling on (*insert name of plant species here*). I can tell you the names of reference materials I recommend in regards to that, but step back.
-Galaxian-

That's accurate xD
Tbh Youri knows more about plants than I do and I hope it won't be a problem :')

Lol, so does Sunny, which is why I'm opting with "(*insert plant species here*)"
Also of course it's accurate, who do you think I'm not
-Galaxian-
Offline
I don't think anything xD
Btw how about your Servants, how would they react to speeding tickets
Offline
Archer would never have gotten that speeding ticket ((((: he makes police officers fear for their lives
Okay jk. Actually, his Master should have enough logic to keep him out of any place where he can drive. So, he wasn't on the road in the first place. Yay!
Berserker does not care. Police officers should not approach him. They couldn't stop him even if they took out tanks; they should just evacuate the streets instead. And anyways, he's driving very well, even if a bit fast.
Rider would pay the fine politely, apologize for speeding, and then proceed to leave at an immediate speed of over-the-speed-limit. It's not really his fault, the police officers never told him what the speed limit actually was, and he finds cars slow. Before the police realize what just happened, he's already left.
Saber would probably get taken to police station because they can't understand what the speeding ticket is and they also didn't pull over when the sirens were flashing. They were initially only a tiny bit over the speed limit but now they're going to the station since they didn't pull over and seem to be uncompliant, when in reality they just can't understand. R.I.P.

Lol I was just thinking of attitudes but yes that's interesting
To be honest Caster would probably not be able to reach the controls of a car. Also, why would you send him driving when he literally looks like a kid.

I dunno, Galaxian can drive so why can't he xD

Lol ok
Youri doesn't have a Riding skill in the AU lol. He may know about vehicles but he can't drive cars or similar things. And also he wouldn't want to drive. He prefers to walk .
So uh do you think you'll be able to chat tonight lol
