Turns out Phantom can't hold his breath forever, because he accidentally coughed from lack of oxygen. Great.

"I don't know yet... I think something fell..."
Kradly felt around for what had fallen. He was alert in case a ghost appeared next to him.
André didn't think Echo would begin to cook in the middle of a game. What in the world...? Why would someone decide to use the kitchen? He was about to climb out of his hiding place to ask the one in the kitchen to stop making noise, but he didn't do it. At least not yet.

Echo paused for a bit, stopping in front of Phantom's closet. She opened the door slowly and put her head into the closet, squinting through the darkness.
"Hello?" she said.
Kradly would probably feel the chain of a necklace. If he lifted it up, he would find that the chain connected to a mediumish ruby pendent. The chain was golden and thin.
André could hear the sound of running water, a bit of humming as well. The tune sounded like "Für Elise". It was pretty. It's hard to tell who's humming it was, but it sounded masculine.
Offline
Phantom blinked at the sudden light, then admitted defeat. "You found me," he said, grinning.
Offline
Kradly did lift up the chain and straightened to show it to his friends.
"Look, it's a fancy necklace. Betcha it belonged to the ghost who roams this room!"
The reason they had entered the mansion was to find ghosts, remembered André. Maybe that in there was a spirit! That meant he could be the first one to find a ghost.
With that thought replacing the idea of winning the game of hide-'n-seek, André hurriedly burst out of the pantry. It was very loud too, a strong contrast with the stealth he had used to get in and hide in the first place.

Echo jumped a little but quickly smiled, "Yay! One more person left!"
"Whoaaaaaa!" Francis and Lumi marveled.
Silence, on the other hand, said, "I wanna lick it." Wh a t????
André would see that instead of a ghost, there was a tall man standing at the stove. Or, well, was standing at the stove before jumping and yelping out in startlement, "gOOD GODS-" He put his hand to his chest, staring at André.
The man regained his composure quickly, saying, "I am so sorry for yelling, forgive me." The man wore a silvery metal mask. His voice was gentle and soft. He was thin and lanky, and somehow even when jumping and yelling out, he seemed graceful and fluid in motion.

Kradly tossed the necklace to Silence as he laughed. "Suit yourself!"
Well, André immediately scurried to the kitchen door and stayed there while the man spoke.
He stared. It certainly didn't look like a ghost or a spirit.
He continued staring at the mask.
Offline
Silence caught it and brought it up to their nose, smelling it before giving it a little lick. They made a face.
"It tastes like metal."
The man sort of hesitated before saying, "Good day."
Offline
"Let's find him and then go see what the others are doing," Phantom suggested.
Offline
Kradly shrugged. "Does it have any other supernatural taste?"
"You look evil," was all that André replied. He didn't look scared. He just stared up at the man.
Offline
Echo determinedly nodded at Phantom. She started skipping off deeper into the hallway.
Silence shrugged, looking a bit disappointed, "Nah, just tastes like normal jewelry." They thought for a moment before grinning, "Ooh, but what if I get cursed now?! If I drop dead then that means that this necklace is definitely cursed!"
A giggle sounded through the ballroom. Lumi twitched, looking around. He thought he saw something far off on the other side of the ballroom.
Suddenly, all the lighting in the ballroom went out, and it was pitch black.
"I assure you I am not evil," the man replied. He sounded nice. Now that André can fully see the man, the Narrator will give more details on his appearance. He wore a nice suit, no wrinkles in sight. His wavy, reddish-black hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, his bangs sticking out and over a bit from behind the mask. The man is pale, and André can't see his eyes from behind the mask's holes. The man was wearing a strange rosary, the golden pendant piece being in the shape of an eye with a sash piece hanging off of it. The man had a wonderful posture.

Phantom followed after her, teleporting to get close enough that he wasn't too far behind.

(I friendship Echo and Phantom lol)
Offline
Kradly shrugged. "Don't curses have a special taste to them? I dunno."
When the lights went out, his irises (only irises, no pupil or anything else) turned into neon circles. He blinked.
"Hey guys, who turned off the lights?"
André narrowed his eyes. "You're saying that, so you're suspicious!"
Offline
Echo started opening random doors again. She was getting closer to the kitchen.
Lumi's eyes did the same as Kradly's.
"Maybe the power went out?" Francis suggested. "I would say 'let's check the other rooms' but it's too dark to see the exit."
"Ah, I'm sorry I give off that vibe," The man apologized. "May I ask, what are you doing in the pantry?" The man turned slightly to return to his original task before being scared half-to-death: turning the burner of the tea kettle on.

Just to feel like he was participating more, Phantom started opening doors too.

Kradly nudged his twin's shoulder. "I think it's time for Glowstick Man to give us all a hand."
Meanwhile, André crossed his arms. "What if I don't want to tell you?"
Offline
Open, close, open, close... Echo heard some voices, which would be HDK's. She paused in her tracks.
HDK said, "I will not force it from you."
"My time to shine!" Lumi said before popping his knuckles. His knuckles glowed like neon yellow glowsticks.
Francis said, "Uh... I think he meant for you to generate us some light..."
"...Oh..."
Lumi created a few balls of light over his palms. They were pretty bright, and illuminated a good portion of the area around the group.
Offline
Phantom stopped next to her. "What is it?"
Offline
"The glowstick fingers looked good enough to me, but I'm not gonna complain," Kradly commented with cheer. "Alright! Where to now?"
The child wasn't expecting that answer.
"You're not??? Really? That's boring. I think it's boring. Kind of like how your mask is too plain."
Offline
Echo replied quietly, "Voices." She pointed at the door.
HDK said, "I suppose my mask is a little plain..."
Francis said, "I think we should see if the lights went out everywhere else or if it's just this room."
Offline
Phantom listened. "Do you want to go see what's happening?"
Offline
"Sooooo, we split up?" Kradly made a hand motion to go with his words.
"Yeah." André kicked the ground. "You're not a ghost, but are you dead?"
Offline
"Do you think that's a good idea?" Lumj asked. "Cause, like, what if there are mean ghost?"
Silence teased, "Huuuh? Are you scaaaared?!"
"No! I'm asking it for your guys' sakes! I'm totally not scared!"
"No, it would be bad if I was," HDK said.
Echo nodded and gently opened the door, walking into where HDK and André were.
Offline
"If there's mean ghosts, then we fight them!" the demigod exclaimed with a grin. "Besides, I think it's gonna be a special and fun challenge for someone to ask a mean ghost on a date."
André reached a conclusion. "Then you're a thief! Or a ghosthunter!"
Offline
Phantom peeked his head in through the door, over Echo. I mean, probably over Echo. idk how tall she is.
Offline
"HELL YEA!" Silence screamed, pumped up.
Francis took the necklace from Silence and said, "I'm gonna take this and look for Apollo to show some evidence of a ghost."
Lumi nodded a bit and then grinned, challenging his friends with, "I bet I'll find a ghost first!"
"Nuh-uh! I will!" Silence yelled, darting off. Lumi ran after.
"Ah... That was a quick discussion," Francis muttered, watching.
HDK said, "Sorry to be disappointing, but I'm neither of those as well."
Echo looked into the kitchen, seeing André. She yelled, "Found you!" and ran in. And then she saw HDK and immediately backed away, reaching and grabbing at Phantom to get behind him and hide.
"Oh, more guests! I should prepare more tea, then. Of course, adding in some other people I saw, that would make... ten or eleven people? Hmm..." HDK was talking to himself, turning and heading to a shelf.
"Of course, I wonder if everyone likes tea... Would it be rude to assume everyone likes tea?"
Offline
Phantom did that thing where he raised his arms to look behind him at Echo. "What's wrong?" he asked.
Offline
Echo peeked over at HDK, watching him. She didn't say anything.
HDK was getting more tea cups out.
Offline
"Not much of a discussion, too," Kradly told Francis. "Well, see you in a few minutes. I'm gonna go find ghosts too." Right after saying that, he went off to follow the others.
André was so focused on looking at what HDK was doing that he completely dismissed Echo and Phantom's arrival.
"I don't like tea," he said.
