Phantom jerked the planchette so hard that it slid away from Alma and off the board. He didn't really notice the cold, but he definitely heard the giggle and saw the dresser fall over.
Offline
Well, Alma wasn't expecting that.
Malaika tried grabbing the planchette quickly.

Phantom released the planchette telekinetically and stood up. "Who's there?" he asked quietly. He was sure that since he was a technically a ghost, he might be able to communicate with it.

If it hadn't been for Lumi screaming first, Kradly would have reacted more wildly. "Lumi, Lumi, calm down," he said, unease dripping from his voice despite attempts to keep it steady. "We didn't disturb anything! It was all the ghost! STAY CALM!"
Kradly stood up slowly, Lumi and all, looking around to find the source of the presence (not that he can, probably). The limited lights in the room highlighted the anxiousness in his eyes.

Nothing happened, and everything became silent again. The room went back to it's normal temperature.
Malaika handed the planchette to Alma, who dragged the planchette across the board in a pattern and then politely said, "Goodbye." He looked over to the twins and asked, "Are you two okay?"
Lumi quickly unlatched himself from Kradly and said, "Psssh, yea, it wasn't even that scary."
You know, like a liar.
Offline
"Oh, you think? You sure?" Kradly elbowed his twin and gave a teasing grin. Well, he's a little bit pale. "So that's it, here's where the session ends, right, Alma?"
Offline
Lumi rolled his eyes, but he was smiling.
Alma nodded, and said, "I'm going to try a different room. Some ghosts only stay in certain areas."
Offline
"Y'all sure you're good?" Phantom asked, looking around.
Offline
"Yeah, we are," Kradly confirmed with a grin and proceeded to give Lumi a good shake.
Offline
"I'm always a-okay!" Lumi grinned, ruffling Kradly's hair as a small revenge.
Alma was sprinkling some kind of substance around the room, and Malaika lit some nice-smelling incense.
Offline
"What're you doing?" Phantom asked, walking over to Alma.
Offline
"Making sure to get rid of any bad luck that's in the room," Alma said.
"I hope the ghost likes this smell," Malaika said, waving the incense stick around a little.
Offline
"Do ghosts leave bad luck around them?" Phantom asked curiously. He'd never noticed this. Of course, technically he's neither alive or dead so maybe he doesn't count.
Offline
"Some of them can," Alma answered. "Better safe than sorry, right?"
Offline
"That's fair," Phantom looked around. "...Should I be doing something?"
Offline
"Would you like to wave incense around?" Malaika asked, holding up another incense stick.
Offline
"Does that get rid of bad luck that might've stuck to our clothes?" Kradly asked from his place as he straightened his hair.
Offline
"Yea! Also it gets rid of any of the bad luck in the air!" Malaika said.
Offline
Kradly pulled at his shirt. "Huh, that's neat."
Offline
Phantom took the incense stick. "I thought I knew a lot about ghosts," he commented, mostly to himself. "I guess I don't after all."
Offline
"I guess it depends on your beliefs," Malaika said. "Mine and Alma's beliefs are pretty different, but some of the concepts of ghosts and karma are similar in practice and concepts. So it just kind of depends."
Once lighted, the smell of incense in the room got slightly stronger, but not enough to be overwhelming. It was a sweet smell, something very familiar...
Alois poked his head into the door and asked, "Cotton candy?"
Malaika held up her incense stick and said, "Yep! I thought it would work best!"
Alois nodded in approval, stepping into the room and standing off to the side. He tilted his head to move his hair away from one of his eyes. He scanned the room, watching everyone.
Lumi, although being around Alois a few times due to Silence, was still quite creeped out by Alois' stare. It was like Alois could see into his soul! Oof...

((It's my first time hearing of cotton candy incense, I want some now lol))
"Huh, I want dessert now," Kradly joked. He briefly glanced back at Alois but avoided further eye contact. He crossed his arms.
So, meanwhile, what's happening with Echo and André?

Phantom stared at the incense stick he was holing. "So does this mean that candy factories are immune to ghosts."
Offline
"I don't think it works like that. If the candy was incense-flavored, then maybeee, but who wants incense-flavored candy?"
Offline
Lumi made a face at the idea of incense flavored candy. "Ew, that would be gross."
Tbh, the Narrator doesn't know what the two children are doing. Maybe exploring the hallways?
Offline
Phantom considered this fact for a moment. "No. Incense flavored candy would not taste good." he sad finally.
Offline
Kradly turned to Malaika. "Did that take care of all the ghost stuff?"
Offline
"I think so! Just for this room, though," Malaika said.
Alma nodded, "Yeah, I'm going to try a different room for the Ouija board. Hopefully we'd have better luck."
Offline
"What about that one?" Phantom said, gesturing to a room down the hall.
