Homemade bread is great
additonalky, if you think you’re neurodivergent, ask your parents to get you tested by a psychiatrist. it can get you a lot of good benefits
Offline
agreed
can you explain these said benefits so I can use them in my argument against my parents

Mmmm bread good I agree 101%
I was just about to write a post in reply to your previous concerns but more in general I agree with Axel. I've been wanted to get tested for a while too (still can't because of life stuff tho) and my argument for trying to get an appointment was that I just want to clear out doubts. Like, it might be a neurodivergency, it might not be, but you wont't know for sure until you get tested, yes? In the case it is, you'd get help with that, and if it isn't, then you can still get help for other things that you feel are hindering your daily life (my psychologist helped me out with my anger issues when I was a lot younger) and in general you don't really lose anything by seeing an specialist.
Until/if you get an appointment though, there's a bunch of things you can do to try to make your daily life a bit easier! This may sound cliché but pausing for a bit and taking deep breaths really does help when there's something that makes you very angry. Something I was taught to do was that when I felt that deep nervous-like anger in mye, I'd stop and try to figure out WHAT was making me angry since a lot of the time it's not really "someone else" making you mad but a specific action or sometimes even something you don't think you did well. It might even be something that happened by chance.
And something I used to do to vent out my anger (like when it seriously wouldn't let me sit still or leave my mind) was to just to something physical like run around a bit or jump for a while or something like that. I've found that moving around a lot or doing something where you have to use a lot of skill in your hands/full concentration can really help ease the nerves after strong emotions. Or get one of those squishable balls or a fidget spinner. I like my fidget spinner for this.
In my case what hinders me the most on a daily basis is my poor memory/lack of attention and while I don't know if that's the case for you too, something I was advised to do to try to counteract that was to write things down as soon as they came into my mind. Doesn't always work because often I will forget to just write stuff down, but I got my mom to give me reminders for stuff and I set a lot of alarms on my phone/watch and now I have a board and big calendar in my room so I can accurately visualize what day it is and write a list of every single important thing I have to do daily. That keeps me from 1. forgetting what day it is today, 2. losing track of time/weekdays, 3. forgetting homework and when it's due, 4. forgetting important stuff like meetings and washing my face and stuff. But also, seeing everything laid out like a list makes it so I can see what things I have left to do and so I don't get distracted as easily by any other thoughts that might come into my mind.
I hope the above tips can help out somewhat!

thanks for the reminders, I tend to do these things a little already, but I'll try to be more proactive about it, especially the frustration coping skills. I also do things like fidget but...that results in my chewing my fingernails and cuticles which is not good so I should probably get an actual fidget toy to keep on me or something
Something I discovered is that if I build something into a routine, or "flow," I can usually get the things inside it done, but the second something else comes in and disrupts it or I forget to do something it all falls apart lol

i can recommend some good fidget toys that are also useful. there's a pen i like that's made up of magnets that you can move around and mess with

asked my mom and she said that in theory she'd be willing to get me tested for things except for the fact it would cost thousands of dollars
so
that's fair
Offline
to be specific this would also include testing me for some kind of audio processing disorder which both me and my mom vaguely suspect I have, but there's some symptom overlap with that and ADHD so there's taht
either way you put it there is something that is Not the Norm going on in my brain

My literature claims The Alligator War is a dark short story so obviously I went to go read it and its genuinely one of the funniest stories I've ever read that story is a TRIP
you can't look me in the eyes and tell me a story with a sturgeon helping a bunch of alligators fire a torpedo at a warship and blowing it up is symbolic for something dark and depressing
I though from how the book described it was supposed to be something like how indigenous peoples were being pushed out of their native lands and the alligators were a metaphor for that bUT THE ALLIGATORS WON
WHO WROTE THIS STORY I NEED TO MEET THEM
