Does anybody know how to make their brain stop making self-insert fanfictions when I'm sleeping
I don't want to get shipped with Cole from Ninjago again please make it stop
Offline
Possibly stop reading them for a while or something xD. Same goes for if you're writing them. :-P

Idk, then maybe part of your mind has a thing for English-speaking earth ninjas with bushy eyebrows, and you just never knew it until now
I guess then fight fire with fire. Read those fanfics. And maybe it'll go away. xDD

I find it hilarious that I only ever watched like 20 episodes of Sonic X, the original Sonic series, and never played any of the games yet knew almost all of the characters' names
I even knew Shadow's name and I only saw him once
what even is this
Offline
Also Knuckles was my favorite

Suddenly remembering that one episode in the original Sonic series where Eggman basically made a Hot Lady robot to seduce Sonic into giving her some type of plan or something but like she rebelled or something bc Sonic wrote her a poem????
And I'm pretty sure Sonic's canonically was like literally 10yrs old when they made the series???
I have so many questions

Yesterday I got to pick out my own rental violin and there's a funny story connected to it:
A few weeks ago I saw this really pretty violin, which is how I learned about an upgraded rental thing (which means that for like 15 more dollars I can get a better quality rental). My teacher later said that the owner of the shop (her mom) said that the violin wasn't sellable or available for rent.
Well, yesterday, it was among the rest of the violins I was given to choose from. My teacher even messaged her mom, like "Are you sure you meant to put it there" and her mom said "yeah don't worry about it." I guess I was deemed worthy or something????
But anyway that's how I got this really awesome violin that was made in 1842

My sister is making me feel unsmart because she's been playing Link's Awakening for like four days and she just beat the 7th dungeon and it took me like two weeks to get to that poitn
Offline
Never mind upon closer inspection it appears that the violin I just got iss from 1812 and not 1842
Which means that I have a violin that's over 200 years old
Offline
Isn't it like the older the violin the better?
Offline
Generally speaking, yeah. Not only does the wood age over time, which changes the sound (usually for the better if its kept in good condition), but back then violinmakers used already-aged wood rather than newer wood iirc, so from the get-go it had a good quality sound.
Not to mention that some off the most famous violinmakers were around in that time, relatively. Stradivarius is probably the most well known.

Don't take my word for anything I am not a violin specialist I just play the instrument
Offline
Yeah
How does the sound change though exactly? If you know?
Offline
Depends a lot on the instruments. Some instruments have a mellower sound (the violin I just got is so mellow that the strings on are supposed to give it a brighter sound so the notes are clearer), some have a brighter, sharper sound. From what I seen/read, older violins project better and might get a little more mellow but for the most part stays the same in terms of brightness.
Like I said I'm not a specialist

I've seen a lot of ridiculous things in Jojo
but the best one so far is Lisa Lisa smoking despite lungs being vital to a Hamon user
She's a Hamon master
she should know better than this

What does that mean it's like hearing a wine sommelier or a coffee g grader talk about their craft to me
I don't have tuned ears like you

uhhhhhh basically mellow is a soft sound and brighter is a harsher sound. Some violins are incredibly harsh (or bright) so playing higher up on them is torture. I'm not a big fan of them, I prefer a mellower sound.

The last scene with Q is the only thing in the Star Trek franchise that has ever made me cry but I'm okay with that

I'm gonna make an art doll Teto and Kirara
at some point
Offline
The best part is that both are small creatures which means I can make them small and still close to life-sized
and by small I mean they are TINY fox things
I mean technically Kirara is a cat demon and Teto is a fox squirrel but they still look like foxes
Offline
It took like 169 episodes but the episode when Kirara is remembering Kohaku and Sango as kids actually broke me
Also I finished the core series like a week ago now I have to watch the Final Act and the last movie
