"No, I'm just being a cheapskate," Rai clarifies himself with a smirk. "Tryna see if the hairstyles are doable with the right set of tools right here. Which one you want is still your decision, but I have to say," he gestures at a specific part of the picture, "the trim right there might contrast unpleasantly with the shape of your face, in my honest opinion."

"Y-you think? Wait, you want to cut my hair?"
Dion once again took a hand to the tips of his hair.
Offline
"Yeah, I think so. You think?" Rai asks back, leaving the other question to answer later.
Offline
Now the hand went to the side of his chin.
"Well, maybe... what about that other one?" Dion pointed to another picture.
Offline
"That's doable too." Rai takes a few moments to look at the picture again. "Hmmm, I guess I don't see any big flaws. Besides, it's not as if one has to go by the book. Or the picture in this case, I suppose."
Offline
"Yeah, so a few modifications would be okay? Like making the border straighter than that."
Offline
"Longer too, possibly, so it doesn't jut out." Rai uses a hand to lift up part of his limited but present bangs. "Short bangs sticking up and out can be such a pain."
Offline
"But not too long, cause I don't want hair in my eyes." Dion's pretty serious about the matter, huh.
Offline
"Oh, of course. Wouldn't want you to look like a manga protagonist. They can walk without seeing but I doubt you could."
Offline
"Are you questioning what I'm capable of?" A hint of annoyance appeared on Dion's face before fading away quickly. "But honestly, yeah, I don't think I'd be able to do that."
Offline
Rai puts one hand in the air as if in surrender if not for the fact he does it flimsily. "Exactly," he smirks.
Offline
"Then the hairstyle in the picture is okay? I like it, and you said it didn't look bad."
Offline
"As long as you don't blame me afterwards for the result if it comes out badly--and by that I mean if I actually did an alright job but it just isn't what it looks to be--then yeah." Rai smirks a bit more though and flips the left side of his hair as if to show an example. "In my opinion, though, I cut hair pretty well as long as the result isn't some crazy, professional-needing sort of deal."
Offline
"I know my choice is good enough!" He emphasized his words with a bob of his head.
Offline
"Alright, that's all I need to hear." Rai makes an ok sign with his hand. "By the way, don't enter the kitchen. Cooking area. I don't actually know if it's a kitchen."
Offline
Dion gave him a strange look. "Why would I want to go in there? I'm not even hungry."
Offline
"Well, you might be hungry later, and I'll likely have forgotten by then." Rai waves his right hand lazily as subtle emphasis.
Offline
"Well, okay, I don't mind." Dion looked at the ceiling for a second. "So now what?"
Offline
"Well, anything you want, actually. You can take a shower...that's about it, actually. Not much else you can do. Unless you wanted to read or use the computer or somethin'. In any case, the day's still young..." Rai looks at the closed window. "...actually, nah, no it isn't. Well, what I mean is the haircut can happen now or later. Your choice. If you wanted a wet cut, then a bit later."
Offline
"No, I don't feel like taking a bath right now." Dion crossed his arms. "Maybe just cut my hair already."
Offline
"You couldn't take one if you wanted. There's no bathtub," Rai reminds with a smirk. "But that's fine with me. Better to judge the length too, anyhow." He pauses. "Hmm, did I actually ask you if you were okay with me doing the cut? I think I might have changed the subject when that came up, actually."
Offline
"I would've protested already if I didn't want you to cut my hair," goes the reply, along with a more neutral expression from Dion.
Offline
"Well, let's hope that doesn't change." Rai starts departing with a, "I'm going to go get the supplies. You probably should go find a chair you're comfortable in. I dunno if there's a choice in that matter, actually, come to think of it..." but then the rest of what he says trails off because he's now pretty much in another room and his voice is quiet.
Offline
Dion moved around to the nearest chair and sat on it to see if it was comfortable.
Before deciding, though, he stood to take off his coat and put it somewhere else.
Offline
Lol, there are like 4 clothing hangers Rai takes with them hanging on the door he just opened. Life on the run, what'd you expect? Imagine dragging a box of clothing hangers while running away...
Offline
Yeah, Dion can use that.
He went to use one of the clothes hanger for his coat. He was pretty careful about lining up the coat so it would be straight.
Offline
There's what seems to be a barber cape on the hanger closest to the door. It looks like it was DIYed, Rai fashion. Not too surprising from a guy who builds refrigerators just for the sake of building them.
Rai seems to be fishing in closets for scissors.
Offline
After carefully hanging up his coat, Dion looked the cape over just to check it. Might as well do something while he waited.
Offline
It's a waterproof drape and is quite monochromatic in color, maybe because Dion's hair colors are then pretty prominent in contrast. It looks really light, too, and maybe pretty snug? Hard to tell without putting it on. Sure looks like it had a lot of work put into it just for a trimming haircut--it even has snap buttons for closure.
Offline
Dion lifted his eyebrows in admiration, though it wasn't really for anyone else to see it. Anyways, he knew the time to put the cape on would come, so he just headed back to sit.
Helpful 10/10. But Rai did tell him to find a chair, so Dion was being obedient.
