Funnily enough, as soon as she thinks of chairs, there they are. There's a stack of them in the corner where they did not exist before. Yay supernatural abilities, whomever set this up.
"I'm doing pretty well!" Chinami answers. "I think both are going fine for me. Better than fine, actually! There's plenty of time to be on the move and plenty of time to rest."

The Alternate are a really chill group overall. They're completely fine with her sitting.
"I think I am doing quite well as well," Nagesh says. "I found vocations to partake in outside of my time here. My colleagues are very great people. In addition, work is going smoothly. There have been no incidents thus far that I can recall."

"I don't believe I have the connections needed to have a network that could help you with any job search on your part," Nagesh tells Laurie. He winks. "However, if a time comes that I can help, I shall let you know."
"Good to hear that you three are doing well," Chiyoko states with a small smile. "Nagesh, may I ask if you know how Xolani is doing?"
He visibly pauses. "I am uncertain of the extent I can answer that question. They...remain largely unreachable." 
Chiyoko nods as if she understands. 
"Sorry, but..." Manai cuts in with an embarrassed look. "Xolani is...? Um, who are they again?" 

Galaxian is listening on intently to the point one could forget he's there. He's very silent when he wants to be.
"They're the humanoid entity with somewhat long dark hair, Professor," Nagesh half-teases the girl. "Though that depends on circumstance. Sometimes they're slightly shorter and with shorter hair to match." 
"Oh." Manai processes that, unsurprised by Xolani having two general forms, before her eyes widen. "Oh, so they weren't lost," she muses as if having an epiphany. 
Nagesh grins. "I would hope they were not."

"Oh," Manai goes. She might be embarrassed; it's actually hard to tell. She's kinda just there with her mouth inching towards an ellipse as a shape.
"What? Did you try to escort them out of the premises?" Nagesh questions.
She just nods a bit. A tiny bit of blush, more than normal that is, finally becomes a bit more apparent.
Nagesh starts laughing. He actually finds it really funny.

"Of course, everyone else is very helpful," Nagesh points out, somehow stopping his laughter perfectly. It doesn't seem off or awkward. 
"Not me," Chiyoko says. 
"Right, you'd probably make the lost traveler a makeshift home," Nagesh goes. "But for future reference, everyone, it's not really possible for intruders to come here."
"Unless one of the intruders is us," Galaxian says, bluntly realistic.
Nagesh pauses. "...yes, but let's hope that will never be the case."

No one really seems to be affected. It certainly seems like something Xolani would hate to ponder.
For Manai, well, she doesn't seem concerned at all. She fully trusts everyone in the Alternate. It's like they're her default friend group. 
It's a small group, though. Nagesh and Chiyoko are both very mature. Chiyoko's expression is unreadable, regal and calm as always. Nagesh professed his thoughts as soon as they occurred. He doesn't like hiding them. 
As for Galaxian, it doesn't look like he regretted voicing the idea. Maybe it's a variation of not wanting to hide his thoughts as well, even if he's not close to the group. Maybe it's supposed to serve as a warning for the future, no matter whether in this group or in any other group the individual Alternate may find themselves in in the future. In any case, he just looks down slightly with both scarlet and black eye, no change in his expression, the expression that doesn't give any indication of a happy child at all.
"Yes," Nagesh says, offering a genuine smile to Laurie. "The defenses here are constantly improving as well, so that gives more reason to be confident in being protected here. We would like to make sure that this place can always be a haven of sorts, physical, mental, or both."

"We can discuss that during this meeting or later if you so wish," he tells her. His gaze moves from Chiyoko to Galaxian to Manai fluidly, questioning them on their opinion in advance if Laurie agrees. 

"Truth be told, there's no main topic," Nagesh chuckles. "It's just us coordinating a group conversation, to be honest. At some point, perhaps those outside of headquarters will join us as well, but for now it's somewhat disorganized."
"I can help organize some when the meeting is bigger!" Manai pipes up eagerly.
Yeah, you can, but I can't organize, Chinami-san.
"I might just take you up on that offer," Nagesh tells her with a grin. "Well then, Chiyoko, time to answer the question you avoided unintentionally."
Chiyoko visibly pauses. Thankfully, her mind doesn't short-circuit like the narrator's. "Ah, that question. Well, superimposed with the intentional mysteriousness affiliated with anything related to me, I am doing quite well."
"Great," Nagesh says with a grin. "And you, Galaxian?"
The deity makes a "Huh?" noise, his head shooting up. He acts like a kid who wasn't expecting to be called on by the teacher. He visibly pales, too. 

"I'm...I'm fine," Galaxian says quietly. He might have shouted "I'M LYING" to be less obvious about his deception. He is not fine. He blinks rapidly, but to provide further visual cue, not because he's about to cry. He's not that easily moved to tears.
Well now it's just a matter of seeing who will call out his bluff.

Not Manai either. Yay, similarities. She purses her lips and watches the situation carefully--literally. 
"Sorry," Galaxian mutters but doesn't elaborate or take back his answer. 
Well, this is slightly awkward, xD.

"You're fine," Nagesh pardons breezily. "Difficulties are to be expected for someone who is very involved with many different parts of the world."
Chiyoko makes a small noise of agreement. It's not so much she's hesitant as she's mostly giving the handling of this particular situation to Nagesh. They are, after all, the leaders of the group, even if unofficial for the majority of the time. Maybe it's because they tend to act in a way that suggests their mental ages are older than the others', regardless of their physical age. 
"I don't know. Maybe," Galaxian says with a slight shrug. "Maybe it's like that. But, uh, this meeting isn't really about me. I guess I can maybe talk about it later. I don't want to upset everyone."

"Alright, then take your time put your thoughts together," Nagesh tells the kiddo deity. "We'll all be willing to listen to you." 
Galaxian nods a tiny bit. He feels horrible that he ruined the mood of the meeting. Why can't things actually be fine on his end? Then he wouldn't have to even make such a horrible attempt at lying. 
"Well then, the general question of 'How have you been doing?' seems to have been answered," Nagesh transitions. "Now it's a bit more specific."
"Can we guess the question?" Manai asks.
"Sure thing. Why not?" He smiles. "That would seem to add a bit more of an interesting component in the talk instead of me rambling away like a classroom instructor. If you wish to, then guess the question."

"Chiyoko?" Nagesh starts off, his grin way too lopsided. 
She sighs. Somehow that seems more graceful than sighs tend to be. "Nagesh, we planned the question together."
"Great. My bad." He then asks: "Laurie? Do you want to guess?"

"Oh, you don't need to, Laurie," he says. "Just if you want to. I'm sure the Professor is very eager to guess. But if you do wish to guess, then of course time is granted."
