The narrator's just gonna point out that without narration, it feels like Calix is there doing nothing other than standing there, and for some reason that makes it feel like he's taking a nap while standing up, which is very funny.

Some idle chit-chat later (notably in contrast to the remarkable silence on their way here), the teachers are back inside the gym. Iollan's at the forefront of the group again, a step in his strides and a stride in his steps, seemingly very pleased. Anyhow, the conversation is broken when they just about reach the entrance of the place.
"There will be a water fountain in here as well at one point when it's designed," he's saying to the group. "I figured the designer was taking some time off for the summer, so I held off asking for his services. The construction shouldn't get in the way at all, so that's all good and well. In the meantime, though, Calix, choose between left or right. We'll go the other way, and we'll meet at the office, correct?

Calix nodded then said, "I will go left. Once I am done, would you rather me go get... the someone I mentioned earlier, or would you rather I check in on you all at the office and then go get the Someone?" At the mention of the "someone", Calix's voice very slightly shifts, and if the others caught it, they could tell he was in fact very excited.

"Do whatever you want, dude," Iollan answers. "If the someone you're bringing is nervous, we don't mind waiting a little more. If Hitan's not there yet too, we could wait for him as well, though he did say that we don't have to wait." He laughs a little at the end there.

With that, Calix walked off to the left to go to the water fountain.

"See ya there, Calix!" He waves to the other before grinning at Germaine. "Alright. Your lead, Germaine. Show me the best water fountain in the school. That isn't in that direction, of course," he adds, turning his face in the direction Calix went. Presumably, they can still see Calix's silhouette from the back, but who knows? The man might be like a shadow.

Germaine went forward with lively step. She hoped the location of the fountains hadn't changed since her last time here. It had been a while, after all.
