I wanted to ask how realistic are we doing the HPA AU?
I mean like I know they're all humans but are we going more for a "real life world" kind of setting or an "animeish" one?

Yeah, I don't know what you mean. We're directly referencing what was shown in Danganronpa's anime for the school iirc, so that means it's not 100% realistic. However, because it's not a killing game, then obviously it's more realistic in that way.
For character designs, I'd say that it only leans towards realism for some of my characters, like for Rai, but for others (can't say if it's a majority or not) it's more fantasy (e.g. Galaxian has red eyes instead of dark brown eyes, not to mention white pupils).
So my answer? Honestly depends on whatever's convenient. You probably will need to specify more or figure out what's best for what you're asking for

I guess the school management part and stuff related to that is realistic. I didn't have anything specific in mind though, just maybe, how much can character talents be exaggerated? Maybe more for funny parts in roleplay, or or something similar.
I'm trying to think of an example,,, well, I can't say the anime we're referencing for this is exactly a comedy, and I can't say that about the AU either, but the canon material has a lot of exaggeration to make it a very lighthearted setting (at least before the drama sets in lol). Also character personality exaggeration. Not always obviously to keep the characterization, but sometimes it's funny.
DR just has any colors for hair or eyes lol it's fine for you to go fantasy there. Also all hairstyles are allowed and yeah I think weve mentioned this on chat before.
Um does this make more sense now xD sorry it's a very general question

There's a moment from the anime I'm thinking of rn and it's when a student with animal-related talent brought a bear into the classroom and that bear had a sort of respectful personality.
Logically how are you supposed to get a bear into campus xD even if related to the talent,,,
