Maybe we just improve on how exactly the obstacles and how we handle threads and interactions! Yes.

2-3 flowers? Is everyone good? Hopefully people respond a yes or smth to do this so things get going

I also agree.

I was thinking we organize a timeline by threads.

Like we do a thread on the outside of the area, then one (or a few) at the early area where there isn't much deformations. Then another one (or another few) where characters are in the middle, and then one or a few at the end areas, where the influence of the flowers are at highest.

Maybe for the end thread(s) we separate the ending area, and the area where the flowers are

As for timing I was thinking that maybe we can have irl times where the threads are active so we can keep a decent pace. Like the window of say, the starting area is 3 weeks or whatever.

Or we could just have a set number of threads that we see to completion, of which the number can be changed based upon the events in the story. I can handle with organizing that and just writing up settings and events. Like a dungonmaster or something!

i'm gonna say that dust doesn't appear until the middle part of the plot because the start should be for the contestants to meet each other and for people to get used to writing the travel towards the flowers

also perhaps the flowers are in a few different spots in the area? like maybe one's on a mountain, one's in a cave, one's on a small island in a lake for easy examples.

Maybe, but I'd think they'd still be in the same region ish. Since they're at the epicenter. We can hold different like, collections of flowers with different characters to keep everyone from bunching up in one place.

I can handle writing out main settings and going with the second route, if everyone is ok with that.

i'm very very late to this but i really like this idea! i can definitely see hester going for it, although i don't want her to win for obvious reasons (she needs to die again), so i'm down to participate as well

hello hello, if it isn't too late to throw some people into the mix I'd like for Orphos to participate as a third party making deals with participants (as in few/limited attacks and injuries) and Shiloh in as a full participant (moderate injuries allowed and she won't get a flower)

figured this is a good spot to get them both out in public since neither of them have really been out there after Ishmael's death

Three small questions: Would characters be able to teleport in and out of the arena? How would qualification count if teleportation was possible? (for example, if a character teleported into the arena, would they be considered a contestant? Or just a bystander like some of the deities) Also, will tracking spells work inside the arena? (Specifically a spell to monitor whether a certain character is in danger or not)

Here are my thoughts. Feel free to give your own!

I would think that those trying to escape or teleport out would be prohibited by the will of the flowers. I'd feel that teleportation itself would be prohibited for entering as well, and you'd have to walk into the domain or something. Maybe even teleportation within the domain, as it would greatly help out with searching for a flower.

I think if anyone who enters will be treated as a participant, no matter what. Ofc people can do whatever they want tho instead of just looking for flowers.

I also think that tracking spells with status tellers or whatever would work within the arena

Ik I don't really know her powers that well, but I could also just see her being able to teleport and hover around since she's just a hologram

I was also thinking she could use holograms for broadcasting if she wanted or smth.
