Camus slightly freaked me out just now because just as I clicked on the farming node, he said something like "Let me send you on a trip" but I couldn't read it because I had like 25 milliseconds to do so.
Bro, when you send someone on a trip it's to the bottom of the ocean or to the bottom of a ravine, I'd rather you not. Thanks tho.
Also Rerise of Poseidon so funny

You'd think I would know more about Persona since Fallon said Kokumajutsu looks like the Joker (the protagonist) from there, but I kinda only took it half-seriously
On that note, I keep feeling like I'd like some sort of resolution to CC!Rai's relationship with Frank and Quinn, but then I guess that'd probably make me depressed or something, since a happy ending isn't all that likely the way things were going. But then again, I'm not too sure the way things were going...?

Sometimes I think about how the Saints probably could have taken their time to go into the Underworld because uhhh they really didn't have that much of a reason to rush. The Specters suck at finding people (ND verified they can't even assassinate Athena while she is sleeping), and Shaka was with Athena, so honestly they probably could've taken a few months to prep and stuff. Though ig I don't blame them, but the 3 out of the 5 remaining Gold Saints really just went into a castle with a 10% power barrier without even trying to obtain God Cloth hax. They literally had to wait like...half an hour for Shion to get there and throw some blood on them. That also implies they didn't even hecking touch Saori's body and bury her or anything, they just went straight to Germany. How did that even work? I have so many questions.
Me in the AU wondering why they don't use telepathy for everything (which btw I did try to address), meanwhile the Gold Saints of canon just don't talk. Or Dohko was doing some trolling with his reconnaissance plans by just sending the 3 weaker Gold Saints (compared to Kanon and himself) to see what was up with the barrier. Bro, I respect you, but seriously?
Anyways I like to imagine if Shaka had any more time to chat with the others before the Wailing Wall thing, he'd hear the absolute mess that Aiolia, Milo, and Mu got themselves into the moment he died (used a soul-damning attack and destroyed his house, witnessed Athena kill herself and then immediately went to a funny German castle and got screwed over by the only undead dude who drinks water) and be like, "...what"
In Mu's defense I think he probably just couldn't keep Milo and Aiolia back anymore like he did in the Poseidon arc and had to go with these two absolute dummies. Unfortunately he was also screwed over by the only undead dude who drinks water in the process. Dude deserves another thirteen-year break to watch Kiki grow up and become a fine young man (I make myself cry while joking)

I read this fast so my first thought was like "camus the philosopher?"

Sorry, mb. I was talking about Albert Camus' son, Camille Camus /j
Technically you could call Aquarius Camus a philosopher, but unfortunately, just as it is with certain philosophers, his thoughts are stupid (/j? /hj?)

Things Shinsaku has done since coming to Chaldea:
-Nearly blew both of us up for a few login bonuses
-Farming that 90++ farming mode with his AOE Noble Phantasm. Innovation (he reached Bond 5 this way. Btw he's one of those Servants where Bond 1 takes forever and afterward it's a lot easier. I enjoy this sort of thing and find it interesting)
He's really hecking stupid, but hey, so am I. Unfortunately I find his shenanigans funny
Btw I said Rerise of Poseidon is funny because I watched Kanon get beat up by Pollux and was just imagining F/GO's genderbent Pollux beating him up in the exact same way.
F/GO Castor would punt Kanon on sight. Prove me wrong (I wonder where SS's Castor is and why Pollux is being such a jerk toward mortals considering he had a mortal twin brother?)
Also Nemesis is surprisingly chill considering she just got sucked into a mortal technique (and also told Sorrento to stop his infernal music, she could bear it no longer, a few times rather than just blasting him or smthn). Maybe SS's goddesses are all like that? I mean, so far I just have Ker and Nemesis in mind, and Artemis and Hecate I guess. (not actually sure if Hecate is a goddess in ND or not, 'cause I forgor, but she's supposed to be)

Btw I make references to Apollo in the AU, but I can't actually take his canon counterpart seriously. No matter whether it's from the Overture movie or from ND. Dude is funny in some kind of way
Also I do agree with the fandom being like "omg Rhadamanthys??" But it DOES make sense 'cause Rhadamanthys is a son of Zeus. And Zeus, as we know, definitely has bushy eyebrows. Therefore of course Apollo and Rhadamanthys both have bushy eyebrows (/j, Aiacos and Minos are also demigods and I only see bushy hair covering their eyes, not bushy eyebrows) (/j again, my posts don't make sense)

I keep thinking about how unnecessarily mean Shion was to Mu at the start of the Sanctuary arc
No wonder Mu was so hecking done by the end of Inferno, dude had seen enough lol
Unfortunately on one hand I am legitimately sympathizing with Mu, meanwhile on the other my mind is like "mie mie" and wanting to give him headpats. yeah idk. I guess these two sides aren't that separate from each other?

Shion as a character is funny because on one hand, the entire tactic that led to the end of all Holy Wars with Hades was basically his idea, so technically he's probably one of the best Popes of all time. On the other, there were just so many problems that could have been prevented. Was there literally no other way to get into the Underworld and awaken Athena's Cloth?? Bro did not think ahead

Just so y'all know, the next theme change is gonna depend on the results I get from applications
So if you see even more death and agony colors that might be why.
Or it could be because the SS AU causes me suffering. So much suffering.
(Thinking about it made me go down a very deep mental rabbit hole about Claymore yesterday night. The dual influence is so real. I cannot emphasize just how much pain I felt about Clare and Teresa, followed by very vivid imaginings on pretty much every tragic death and relationship in that hecking series. I wanna reread the manga again but I did that earlier last year or even this year I'm pretty sure :'D)
-Galaxian-
Offline
I also cannot emphasize how funny the Run vs. Priscilla matchup in my head 7 years ago was. Like ngl I was really doing Run in there (bro Cannot deal with nigh-infinite regeneration or the hunting instincts of a monster formed from the infinite hatred of the [first or second] highest potential Claymore in her series, what was I thinking)
I did myself in real bad yesterday night thinking about the psychology of Clare (specifically in the contrast between her hatred for Priscilla/her driving motivations and how strongly--and typically--she clings to her humanity as a Claymore despite all that)
The psychology of Priscilla is also really fascinating to think about. At first you think she's just made to be pitied and feared, but I think the question about her nature is really the most fascinating once you've finished the series and mulled over it.
I think in an alternate universe, if I somehow came across Claymore before I did SS, then my art style and way of thinking about things thematically would probably be primarily influenced by it. I mean, they're both shounen, even if Claymore has more sub-genres, so it makes sense.
Maybe one day I'll work on making faces unique like they are in Claymore. I still have yet to see another work that makes characters as distinct as Claymore does

Me when I think about Teresa (AGH)
The Claymore anime really was so far ahead of its time. The ending was slightly botched but it makes Isley funnier so I won't complain (too much)
The manga has its flaws as well, but I love the overall coherence of the story.

Looking back, I should've expected to feel the way I do about Theresa. I really had it coming.
(*squints at Theresis*) not you though bro. I don't like you. I will dump shade at you for no reason (actually I HAVE reason, it's just complicated)
A thought I had just now: Madoka Magica and Claymore kinda go opposite directions in a way when it comes to explaining why most of the cast is female
Sophia's theme song gets me real good (since it isn't really a theme song for her but rather for all the Warriors)PMMM explains that teen girls are chosen by the incubators because of their emotionality, meanwhile in Claymore the first generation of male warriors was a failure because it's implied guys are much more susceptible to awakening
The hormones gottem ):
I can't get over Isley awakening to go after the other dudes without thinking about the change in mentality that awakening would have on his mind lol, dude really overestimated himself and underestimated himself at the same time (but he's kinda a special case to begin with, and you could see it as him not wanting to be the only remaining warrior/having a good dose of hubris since he was the first Number One)
Isley's character is so fun to think about, but also ngl he really deserves happiness,,, he needs an AU lol. Maybe a college AU (for some reason I think he would hate the idea. Why though bro. You can start a kendo club)

Somehow SSA's free rolls are always hot garbage. Honestly it's kinda funny
Randomly mentioning that I have a soft spot for Irene. Idk why

I dreamed that my mom got stuffed into a refrigerator and kidnapped (long story) (actually, I lied. That is the story)
I had to go asking a series of people for different hints on where the fridge was and what I would have to do to get her out, and for some reason for the second clue, I immediately figured out that I had to talk to Rai. Only the way he was described was that he was "buffed" in some way
I literally asked the person with the clue, "Buffed as in he's stronger, or is actually handsome now?" And they said "well he's super cute", but as it turns out, that means he was both buff and cute (the latter in their standards)
Buffed Rai kinda cursed ngl. But honestly he was still just average for me. He looked kinda like one of those actors who others call handsome but who are pretty close to painfully average to me. Maybe I should stop roasting his looks. He had a cute voice though.
Anyways, for the duration of the dream, I couldn't tell if he was actually on my side or secretly helping the people who kidnapped my mom. Honestly? I would deserve it if it was the latter just on the basis of the entire buff question (but Mom didn't,,, lmiao)
The main antagonist was this super realistic buff blond dude. For a few moments I thought he might be Raez, just disguised, but when he socked me across the head, I was only out for 34 minutes. Therefore, not Raez.

I regret not reading "A Walk in the Dust" sooner
Once again, I love the English translation of the title. The vibes are immaculate. The Chinese title sounds more leisurely, but I think the English title fits better. There's a feeling of desolate loneliness that I think fits Kal'tsit very well.

Roll results so far: Got every single rate-up Operator I chose except for Logos. That being said, getting Hoederer and Ines within 10 rolls is really lucky and I'm not going to get my hopes up about getting a 3rd 6-star within the same banner. Not that that will stop me from trying, but y'know.
Bassline is full potential now (and I got his module up-to-date a week or so ago, I love my wolf guy <3)
And then for the other two 5-stars chosen, I chose Cantabile because she's really pretty and I like her design, as well as Melanite because she reminds me of Fate's Wu Zetian somehow and also because railguns are so cool.
So basically Logos is trolling me, thanks Logos. I would make a pun off your name if I could think of one, but my brain is fried. Don't make me bring out the Wiley (best catalyst fr, but I don't think he and Logos would vibe much, for some reason. Or maybe they would vibe too well? either way...)

I really appreciate whomever animated Takasugi. He's so interesting to watch. The color-coding by attack type is also really cool, even if not necessarily a novel idea.
I think my favorite things are how he runs away (though not novel and seen in other characters' animations as well, the biggest example I can think of being Jason) as well as how he flips upside down. I don't recall many characters literally backflipping in the air.
I also love how big his guns and sword are. It took me a while to see just how big they were outside of the obvious big guns, but yeah.
Last but not least, I adore the way he fires a gun while "perched" in the air. He reminds me of a parrot. It's not realistic, obviously, since the recoil of a gun would send him backward, but it's very Takasugi-like.
His character designer/artist is really skilled. They're the same creator for Bakin and Xu Fu. I think they have a skill for creating charming characters.
Live interestingly in a boring world~ though honestly, I'm too Chinese to fully embrace that sort of mindset. Everything is too interesting to me. Or maybe compared to me. Regardless, I don't ever really get bored. Conversely, I feel I get overstimulated.

-Galaxian-

That's a full-on /j btw, because I think they'd be best buds in Chaldea, but if they met in a Holy Grail War or something they'd make everything 100 times worse, and it would not be because they would like each other.
I do feel like this is a bit of a logical fallacy when it comes to explaining why it was a full on /j.
Hmm, how about this? I feel like for all Takasugi's dramatic bravado, Wiley would end up triggering him. And like, not in a character development sort of way. So it's a no go for people like them to meet up in any scenario that isn't like Chaldea or whatever.
Wiley is also saying that Takasugi is too good with a sword. I mean idk man, you'll have to show your skillz in canon roleplay or I won't know what your limits are.
