"I think you might've hit the off button," he points out. He settles down and clamps his fingers around any edges that can be clamped around, probably not putting on the restraint belts or something just because he might have to get up to help Aurora instead. 

"Yeah yeah. Just wait." After a few more button presses, The carts starts to suddenly lurch forward. Though thankfully it's not fast or anything, it'll have to start climbing as well.

Surprised, Aurora quickly runs over and hops onto the ride with the others.

"This is shoddy. It took so long for it to activate." She remarked.

"Yep, got it. The first one to fall off will lose!" Dilanne annouced with cheer as she figured out the seatbelt by imitating Raez, though at a slower pace.

Aurora straps in too, "Now thinking about it, how are we even going to get off?"

The carts are a worn-out dark blue, with the front cart having a little point, similar to what a sailfish would have (although much much shorter to account for the ride, you don't want it getting in the way). The rear cart has a fishtail similar to a sailfish as well.

Also, where is everyone on the carts? There are about 5 carts in total, in a 2 by 2 formation per cart.

"Don't you worry about us," Dilanne said, waving from the second cart. She's hands free and really anticipating the dip in the tracks once the carts are finished climbing.

"Wait what??" Aurora exclaims from the upper row of cart 5, "What are you guys going to do to get off?"

"We'll have to make up a cue," Raez suggests. Presumably, the series of carts is still going up? "Or else this might flip over with someone still in it."
Whether or not he's serious or just saying whatever is coming to his mind is up for debate.

How tall is the rollercoaster track?

"The cue can just be 'jump', as easy as that," suggested Dilanne, "and if it's too high up, I can catch you."

Which cart is Aurora in? Kind of an important question, but not important in the immediate sense. Important in the hypothetical sense...if that makes sense.
"Then, we celebrate the value of living with two and a half hot dogs," Raez says. They're starting to feel the winds a bit, probably. 

"Yes! The process repeats as necessary," he exclaims in a way that implies he's excited about repetitive near-death encounters. The way he grips the handlebars, of course, suggests the opposite. However one takes it, I suppose.

"What did you mean to convey, then?"
The narrator honestly just wants to know why pirates of all people are having a conversation on an amusement park ride. They are conflicted on this fact.

How long is it gonna be till the rollercoaster's climb ends?

"When things go wrong? That depends on what is the thing that's going wrong," Dilanne said.

"Oh boy! Improvisation!" Raez cheers with a little upwards jolt. Somehow, even that's enough to shake his cart. Guess the guy's strong. And then he stops talking, of course.

"Yes, that's the spirit!" he shouts just as they reach the top, right before the drop, his voice somehow not sounding breathier than usual when considering the altitude. He'd look back at her and do some sort of encouraging gesture if that weren't the case, by the way. Obviously, maintaining a death grip on the handlebars takes priority over looking back. 
Let's hope this ride holds together.

Aurora holds her breath while they come to a slow stop sitting at the ridge of the descend, preparing for the drop.

They wait, and wait, and wait some more...

Aurora was about to call out to the others on maybe that the ride was broken. But then suddenly the front cart tipped forward just enough to start a startlingly fast drop down the rails!
